What a lovely hotel. Michael Dave made you Very welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Food and bedrooms excellent.. DINING Room cosy and with tableclothes!. Lounge is comfortable and the bar is full of their theatrical pictures. Breakfast really sets you up for the day.. A GREAT BONUS IS THE LIFT. This hotel is a marvelous little secret run by two great guys. SORRY, WE'VE JUST LET OUR SECRET OUT.

In early May this year the same party of 14 friends again visited the Can y We stayed for 3nights and we were not disappointed. It was the same lovely place, clean and friendly. The restuarant and food is superb and again we ate in every night. Mine hosts David and Michael were very friendly and we enjoyed their company. In a play on words spoken by the American Gereral Douglas MacArthur on leaving the Phillipines during the second world war "We will return" . If you are looking for a place to stay, try it.

Because of the excellent reviews I'd seen on Trip Advisor for this hotel, I visited for a few days last year with my Mum who was recovering from a serious illness and we had a wonderful time. So much so that this year she asked if we could spend a full week (she swears it was David's roast beef dinner which gave her an interest in food again!). We visited again in July and we were not disappointed. The Can Y Bae cannot be faulted. Michael & David are wonderful hosts, they make everyone feel so welcome and do everthing they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is everything you could possibly ask for in this beautiful part of Wales; it's in a wonderful location, the rooms are clean and the breakfasts are first class (plentiful, good quality food, piping hot and beautifully cooked). Just one small thing. The dining room is in the basement and there is no lift in this part of the hotel so my Mum did struggle with the stairs which are quite steep but she managed them ok if she took her time. It's just something to be aware of if you are travelling with the elderly or disabled. This aside the hotel is an absolute gem and i'm looking forward to my next visit.

We were looking to get away for a night or two at short notice and came across the 'Can-y-Bae' via a search engine site. Our initial telephone enquiry was dealt with effeciently and all our questions were answered fully (parking, room facilities, location etc). Being the start of the school holiday period and at short notice we were delighted to learn that the hotel could offer us a double room with a sea view. On arrival at the hotel we were made to feel at home immediately by Dave, and after checking in were shown to our room. The room suited our requirements perfectly. It was clean, spacious, very well presented, and had a beautiful bay window over looking the promenade and sea front, an ideal place to sit and relax whilst watching the world pass by. A similar vista can be enjoyed from the downstairs lounge area whilst enjoying a drink from the bar. The bar area itself, with its array of theatre memorabilia and signed pictures from theatre stars is fascinating. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day ahead. A choice of cereals, fruit, and juices, was followed by a full 'Welsh' breakfast and toast. The service was excellent and unhurried, with offers of extra toast and hot drinks.
The Can-y-Bae was a truly excellent find and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends. Michael and Dave are excellent hosts and helped to make our brief stay in Llandudno a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Keep up the good work guys and hope to see you again soon.

My two adult Son's and myself decided on a couple of days away at short notice - and where better than with David and Michael. We've stayed many times over the last couple of years. We do look for a change - but we keep coming back because we can't find anywhere that compares in value for money. We were a little flexible on dates, and in return Can-y-bae gave us a superb short stay. It has been said by so many previous guests - but these guys really do know when to make a fuss over you and when to leave you to your own devices. Quiet reflection in the lounge, or fun and banter in the bar - sharing funny stories, telling jokes. I feel I have to mention that I had to save David from a fledgeling seagull though (woosie!). Some people are good with birds..... some are excellent hosts! (Dave, you still owe me a drink for saving you!). The whole place is spotlessly clean (althoug I can't vouch for the cleanliness of the funny stories and jokes late at night!), excellent food - (including the beans!) and hopitality that brightens even rainy days. Thanks Luvies. See you again soon.
