“Traditional Seaside Hotel with nice touches”
Reviewed 14 December 2011

First impressions of this small hotel is that it is a pretty typical seaside hotel on the promenade but there were some nice touches which deserve its higher than average rating. We were shown personally to our rooms which were nicely appointed in homely style. Bottled water and the choice of hot drinks was appreciated as were the nice fluffy white towels of generous proportion. There was no bath in the room but an adequate shower. I also had a lovely sea view. Very comfy bed and I slept well
Breakfast was well cooked and hot.
All in all - very good value hotel for the money.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front if possible as they have lovely views over the promenade and sea

Just been back. The welcome was just as lovely.by Michael and Dave. The hotel was nice and warm. The food grand. They even booked our theatre tickets and got a slight reduction for seniors. We have booked again for February. This hotel has now become a firm favourite.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view. Although all rooms are nice.

As a group of girls we spend weekend away together every year. We have just returned from our third visit to Can-y-Bae and again we had a brilliant time. We were welcomed with friendly smiles and hugs. The hotel is spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The food is fantastic from a delicious good quality breakfast (no greasy plates) to an excellent value evening meal - £15 for three courses - the cheese and buiscuits is a meal in itself!! Michael and Dave are superb hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. They both have a way of getting too know their customers and getting everybody together in the evenings around the piano in the lounge and by the end of the evening you feel as if everybody has known one another for years. Can-y-Bae deserves all the awards it has received and as far as I'm concerned is THE BEST!!!!!.
Already booked for next year - only 360 days to go.

A group of five of us have just returned from our third visit to Can-y-Bae. Again, we had no fault with anything, the food is wonderful, breakfast is well cooked and of good quality. The evening meals are £15 a head and are worth every penny for a three course meal. All areas are clean, it is such a relaxing place to stay, beds are very comfortable. Dave and Michael are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. We have booked for a return visit next November. Car parking is not a problem, free for disable badge holders and £1.50 a day otherwise. There is a gorgeous grand piano in the lounge area, we were lucky that one of our group could play the piano, so we had a few nights of music! Would recommend to anyone.
