“Beautiful views across the bay”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

We were attending my wife's union conference and were very fortunate to be booked in to Can-Y-Bae. We had a first floor room with a spectacular view across the bay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the welcome warm and the bar had a wide selection of bottled beers and wines at very reasonable prices. Breakfasts were freshly-cooked, tasty and substantial. We would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask to have a sea view.

We, (Avon Harmony Ladies Barbershop Chorus) have just spent a fabulous weekend at Can-y-Bae Hotel in Llandudno.
On arrival we were greeted by our friendly hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for David and Michael who went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay to the utmost of their ability. They are good fun and love a good story. Our meals were delicious and the service in the dining room was first class - thank you Helen for your radiant smile and professionalism.
I'm sure we will return to the Can-y-Bae and we recommend everyone to enjoy their wonderful hospitality.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel have a wonderful sea-view and there is a lift to all floors.

You can beat an egg, you can beat a drum but you can't beat a holiday at Can-y-Bae.
We have stayed here on more than one occasion and Dave and Michael never fail to deliver a warm and genuine welcome to their warm and friendly hotel.
We had bar meals on this occasion as the restaurant was not open and these meals are excellent value, beautifully cooked and very tasty. Try them and find out for yourselves.
As the weather was very wet and on occasions quite chilly it was lovely to have a hotel that was warm and cosy, and central heating also turned on in bedrooms.
One of our party is well over 6' tall and he had no trouble going up or down the stairs to the restaurant, maybe the person that complained about bumping his head had springs on the soles of his shoes.(Or maybe forgot to remove his coronet)
One other complaint was that the restaurant was in the bowels of the earth. How silly to make such a comment. The restaurant is bright with natural lighting, looking out on one side to a small but very pretty garden, well furnished and fresh with windows that open. Hardly the bowels of the earth.
We will return next year, Can -y-Bae may be matched but it will never be beaten.
Book a holiday here and find out for yourself

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are very popular.

We have just returned from our second visit to Can-y-Bae. We were delighted with the first visit and nothing has changed, in fact was better. Dave and Michael are the perfect hosts, the food is superb and the accommodation first class. Our room had recently had a make over and we felt that it hadn't really needed it! The hotel is warm, welcoming and comfortable and very friendly. All the guests say the same and we will certainly visit again. Whatever Dave and Michael do they do it right ably assisted by Peter and Helen. Jill, Frank and Nicola

Room Tip: Most rooms face the sea. The best is No 15 or No. 24, but all are very good

I've lost count as to how many times I've stayed with the boys at Can Y Bae ... the reason why? Well because it is simply the best !
The hotel is impeccable; the boys banter infectious; the breakfast delicious and in terms of value for money , well it's unbeatable ! So don't doubt it, book it and see if you agree with me and Tina.

Room Tip: A Sea View if you Can at Can Y Bae

I was only staying the one night, but could have stayed longer. The hotel oozed comfort from when you arrived with rich colours, nice furniture and interesting prints on the wall. I was made to feel welcome, with all the arrangements explained, was shown to my room and even given good advice on a good pub for real ale. Although the room was a little small, being on the top floor, it was comfortable and well equipped, with a splendid sea view. The warm and sparkling late September afternoon added to my sense of wellbeing. Breakfast the following morning was convivial with many conversations around the dining room and the full welsh breakfast set me up for the day. I would certainly come back here again.

I booked the hotel for 20 guests for dinner, bed and breakfast based on Trip Advisor reviews. From the welcome to our departure I really can't fault what Micheal (sic) and his team achieved. Immaculate and clean, good food and first class service it was a delight to open the curtains to see the early morning sun across the bay and then stroll out onto the promenade. Highly recommended.
