we . the wife & I plus our friend' enjoyed our stay at the craig ard in may this year (2012).
we had a very clean & comfortable room' dave & family (staff) were very friendly & made us feel
very welcombe we made some good friends as well at the same' so have booked (provisionally for next year)
we found it a bit more expensive compared with other hotels-guest houses in the same area but worth the extra.
food was generally good except maybe the toast could be toasted a bit more' bacon was also a bit thick but tasted ok. still we enjoyed our stay.

I haven't reviewed the Craig-Ard for some time, probably because it remains an oasis of quality and charm and a chance to meet old friends again. It surpasses your expectations- it remains my only choice for a weekend break.

Local pubs and restaurants [as a Metro-Hptel, there are no evening meals] provide excellent choice and a reason for a gentle evening stroll. The Craig-Ard is centrally located and provides excellent filling breakfasts, and a gorgeous oak furniture Lounge Bar, both of which are presided over by mine host and resident hotelier David Gee, handing out bonhomie as he opens bottles of the excellent local brews. A small library and a big screen Sky TV are available for all guests in the residents bar and lounges.

Each room is spotlessly clean and warm- each has en-suite bathrooms for which toiletries are provided and fresh towels as you need them. Private telephones in each room make outside calls if you have no mobile or just prefer a landline.

For me it is the stuff of happy dreams. Book here if you book anywhere on the whole North Wales coat- the Birmingham/Black Country areas are under 3 hours away, Liverpool and the Wirral about an hour.

We stayed for two nights. This is a friendly, comfortable hotel in a good location, just a short walk to the local pubs, restaurants and promenade. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it,The car park was a bonus and we will stay here again.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 8, one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in, in a hotel for a long time.
