Extremely friendly owners, who are always available for anything you need, of a delightful little B&B on the sea front. Slightly more modern in feel compared to most in the area. Very comfortable bed and nice other furnishings in the room and bathroom. Very tasty breakfast too! Looking forward to returning in the future :o)

Room Tip: Lovely view from a sea view room for only a few extra pounds

We just came back from a weekend in Llandudno and were really happy that we chose Promenad. Myself and my husband and 1 year old baby arrived late after a long, tiring journey from London but were welcomed by Vanessa and she helped us up with our things. The room was beautiful, really nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious - with a great sea view! We slept really well and the breakfst was delicious. But the above all the hosts were perfect, they made us all feel really welcome and our little boy loved it. We'd love to go back...We totally recommend it!

The Promenad is situated in a perfectly central position on the seafront in Llandudno. It really stood out from the other guest houses on this stretch of the front in terms of its clean, fresh frontage and well maintained gardens.

On ringing the bell we were met by Vanessa who runs the Promenad with her husband Haydn. She was very friendly and helpful and showed us two delightful sea vie rooms which we both loved.

On the way upstairs we noticed the entrance hall had been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard combining the modern and the traditional. We peered into the dining room and again this was clean, spacious and nicely kitted out. In fact all the communal areas and bedrooms impressed us very much and we are both very choosy people! It was evident that Vanessa and Haydn had sympathetically decorated The Promenad in a way that complemented the original Victorian architecture whilst giving it a contemporary feel.

The Promenad has 12 bedrooms and we were shown rooms 8 and 11 on the 2nd and 3rd floors respectively. As hoped, both rooms had excellent views of the sea and the Great and Little Ormes. Each room had a king-size bed (which what turned out to be an extremely comfortable orthopaedic mattress) and traditional wooden furniture. Both were bright, spacious, tastefully decorated, (room 11 was slightly smaller with a cosier feel) and above all, spotlessly clean. The en-suite bathrooms each had a good shower but no bath.

Both had similar layouts and, tasteful fixtures and fittings. Towels and shower gels were provided as were drink-making facilities and a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate (including biscuits). Vanessa explained that they acquired the Promenad 5 years ago and had completely refurbished it. They live with their family in the basement apartment and if they were not at the reception desk, could be contacted by bell at any time.

Breakfast was included in the price and there was a choice of either full English breakfast, kippers, porridge or a specially made smoothie, all with tea/coffee, fresh fruit juice and yoghurt or a good selection of cereals. We never had to ask for anything twice! Haydn & Vanessa made a really efficient team!

We ended up staying an additional 2 nights as it was so relaxing and could not fault the Promenad at all. Haydn and Vanessa were excellent hosts and were so friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again and would definitely recommend this place to others. Many thanks to our hosts for a fabulous break!

Room Tip: If you want a really lovely sea view on a low floor with a bay window, choose room number 4, but boo...

In our review after our first visit in March 2012 we said that we would return to the Promenad. We have just come back from our second visit this year and it was just as good as the first time. We were welcomed as returning visitors. We had the same room (no 7) as on our previous visit, splendid views of the bay and immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Haydn and Vanessa are friendly in a relaxed and unobtrusive manner. We look forward to our third visit.

Is there any need to say anything more?

We stayed at Promenad for 2 nights 8/9 October. It is in a wonderful location with fabulous views and only a few minutes walk to the town centre and all its amenities. Llandudno is fabulous, a delightful Victorian seaside town which has retained its charm and sophistication - there is little 'tat' in Llandudno and you can tell by all the 4 star hotels along the esplade that it is rather 'upmarket' The Mostyn family laid down rules that nothing can be sold along the lenght of the esplanade so it has kept its Vicrorian elegance and is clean and clutter free. Shame the beach is mostly pepples, although an area by the pier has been cleared of pebbles and we were told new sand is brough in every year for that part, so there is a beach for children to make sand castles on.
But back to Promenad, the current owners Haydn and Vanessa have completley refurbished the hotel in the last 5 years and it has been renovated to a very high standard. All the rooms are decorated the same so apart from whether you want a front one with a view (but a bit of noise from the main road, or a quiet one at the back they are all the same standard. The decor is chic and sophisticated with a touch of elegance; mainly contemporary but with touches of the old here and there.
The breakfast was lovely, the scrambled egg to die for (Gordon Ramsey way of making it if I'm not mistaken!!) tables are laid beautifully with simple, but stylish white crockery, linend table clotsh and napkins. The dining room has stripped floor boards and a big bay window so you get the views. there is a small residents lounge to the rear of the building with a huge flat screen TV and comfy leather soffas. All rooms have flat screen TVs but they are small ones, so if you want to watch full size this is a great place to sit. (I dont find it comfy sitting in bed wathcing TV so we came to the lounge one night after dinner - with our own bottle of wine... lovely).
Promenad is great and Llandudno is fabulous, so much to do within an hour of the town that you could never get bored (not even in a British summer!) Definitely recommend both.

Room Tip: I think we had room 4, this has a bay window so you get the best views. But all the rooms are nice

We have just come back from a four-night stay at Promenad and had a lovely time.
Apart from the stylish decor and faultless cleanliness that we had expected from reading others' reviews, we were charmed by the friendliness and helpfulness from Haydn and Vanessa.
This is a B&B that is more like a four or five star hotel and chatting to the owners - who did everything themselves from the room cleaning to cooking - really made it a special stay.
The breakfasts were excellent and they were not fazed by people asking for variations of the cooked breakfast menu.
I tried every variation of the breakfasts during my stay, from the full breakfast to kippers, then next day porridge and also the heavenly smoothie.
It is an easy walk from Promenad to Llandudno town centre and we borrowed a pass so we didn't have to pay for parking by the prom, though it's not exorbitant at £3 a day and free after 4pm.
The rooms are very well appointed, with kettles and tea and coffee making facilities, hairdriers, lashings of hot water for the shower etc.
Altogether this accommodation made our visit a truly memorable trip.

Room Tip: All the rooms are immaculate - we had a sea view which was fabulous, watching the early morning ligh...

The Promenad B&B is a excellent place to stay, the rooms are always kept spotlessly clean, and i would recommend you get a sea view room if possible, great views across the bay. The breakfast`s cooked by Hadyn are perfect for are great start to the day, and always served with a smile and a chat by Vanessa. I really can`t recommend this wonderfull B&B enough, Great Service, Fantastic Clean Rooms with Excellent Views, and Absolutly Friendy Host`s. If you are visiting Llandudno look no further just book the Promenad , you will not be disappionted.
Big thanks to Hadyn and Vanessa for another fantastic, relaxing break, hope to return soon !!!!

Room Tip: Get a front room , great sea views!!!!!
