Stayed here just for one night while visiting family.

Great location, right in the centre. Parking in the next road, just a short walk around the corner. Lovely welcome, good cooked breakfast and a tidy room. A good, clean, basic B & B if you just need somewhere for a couple of nights. No complimentary toiletries or biscuits, but did not expect there to be given the price!

The only negative was that the mattress on our bed (room 3) was a bit uncomfortable, you could really feel the springs, but just for one night not really a problem.

The welcome from Michelle and Kenny was first rate. Genuinely interested in us but not overbearing and nosey. Our room was a small double, not en suite. Mattress had seen better days but was not uncomfortable. Tea and coffee tray well stocked, plenty of everything including milk. Top of the wardrobe was dusty, wasn't impressed by that. The night we stayed the weather was freezing and snow was falling. The room had one small radiator and was cold, but I asked for an extra heater and was given an electric radiator, job done. The B&B is not too far from towm, 2 or 3 minutes to walk however, at night I could hear noise and music from one of the local pubs, that was slightly disconcerting. Tolilet and shower was up or down a flight of stairs, bearable but not ideal. The breakfast was amazing, plenty of food and quality produce was used. Breakfast was 8 til 0830, but there was a sign saying this could be changed if requested the night before. hotel advertisement says that there is wifi, but this was not available in my room, this was misleading and even though I was offered the use of the lounge, this would have been impractial at night when my daughter was in bed. Overall a comfortable night and value for money. This isn't a high class establishment but you definitely get what you pay for. Would I stay again? the jury is out on that at the moment but the temdency would be to stay.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic and overall the hotel is excellent value for money.

Stayed at the Astonwood Hotel over the weekend of the town's annual Victorian Extravaganza. The owners, Kenny and Michele were welcoming and helpful. Our room was excellent, clean and tidy and we could see the Great Orme by popping our head out of the window and see the cable cars. There was a comfy guest lounge and we had lovely food in the dining room for our breakfast. The owners were really helpful in advising us of places to eat and visit in the town and surrounding area and while we enjoyed looking around the town with its Victorian heritage we also found time to visit the War Museum, Copper Mines and Tramway. Overall we had an excellent time and would recommend it.
