A weekend spent here will not be repeated (14th -17thSept).Hotel very shabby. Breakfast was average but dinner was courtesy of Iceland - poor choise and not very well prepared. Bedroom was large and clean but the bathroom had a large window that did not have frosted glass or nets so people in the houses opposite could see us using the toilet. The blind remained pulled down!!! However the towels were good and changed every day.The staff were helpful and friendly.Having been on a few budget coach holidays this was the most basic of hotels and not representative of other National Holidays.

Room Tip: Ask for a twin room and a bath.

As a regular coach holiday traveller, I was so disappointed with this hotel. Overall the hotel is very shabby and worn, and food basic but my real quibble was with the cleanliness (or lack of it) in shower room. It was very very dirty with mould and filth along door runners and around the base of shower, broken wall tiles beneath wash basin, dirty toilet brush at side of toilet, badly fitting toilet seat which slid back and forward when sitting on it! The carpet in bedroom was also very dirty. As my husband is part way through a course of chemo resulting in a weakened immune system and myself an asthmatic, it was quite worrying. This was obvously not just the result of a few days missed cleaning but built up over a much longer period of time. After complaining, a cleaner was sent to deal with it but was obvioulsy not going to make much of an impression in one session on what had taken a long time to get into that state, although the effort was appreciated. I realise that it was not an expensive trip and that the hotel must work to tight margins to make a profit but I think basic standards of hygiene and cleanliness should be the minimum expectation. Can I just add that the waiting staff were very good.

Room Tip: Can't think of any other than choose another hotel

just come home from 5 day break to

the new loretta hotel llandudno enjoyed our stay apart from the weather.
the hotel was a bit tired but the service was second to none the staff worked
really hard there was 4 coaches in but every one was dealt with efficiently, we had a room at the front which was clean, bedding and towels changed daily although the beds were basic and not that comfortable.the food was good but the veg was frozen but there was plenty of it . they really need to get the entertainment sorted monday night morgan reeves was on o.m.g he was brilliant but the next two were awful and there was none on at ll on wednesday and because it was raining hard we couldnt go anywhere else i dont think i would go again.

Great value break, for what we paid and the 5 drinks vouchers per person per night were a welcome bonus!
The hotel is well located for the sea front and shops - just a few minutes walk away.

The room was clean and comfortable but the decor is tired and dated and in need of a refurb, as indeed is all of the hotel.
The bedlinen was spotless but duvets would be much better than the old blanket and the 1980's style bed cover provided.
Fresh towels were provided each day and hot water was always available for showers / baths.

The food was quite basic but well cooked, with good size portions.
The waitresses were faultless.

The entertainment didn't suit everyone but was pleasant enough - let's face it, you're not going to get top class acts in a seaside hotel such as this!

All in all, you get what you pay for and if you want 5 star luxury, you have to pay the money and for a 3 night budget/value break, at a cheap price, this hotel is more than acceptable.

With some redecorating and contemporary furnishings this hotel could be great.

Shame on you national holidays for endorsing this hotel. Its bland and still stuck in the 70s, its dirty and needs a revamp. The bed was uncomfortable and me and my wife were bitten by something not sure what??

The food was ok but not fresh.

You get vouchers for drink but its limited to certain drinks and there's not much choice.

We complained but it fell on deaf ears were looking to get our money back hopefully. There are 10 times much better hotels in llandudno so stay away from this one.

The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The sheets and pillowcases were spotless. Fortunately this enabled us to spot the tiny insects, which weren't fleas,(they didn't jump) running around the sheets . After which we found that we had been bitten. Took a body to Reception and they changed our room immediately. We were a bit on edge, looking at intervals during the night, but we never found any more . The hotel could badly do with a clean up , Bannisters were greasy ,carpets dirty, but I expect you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the front, they seem to be much larger.
