Arlingtons has always been my favourite restaurant in Ipswich that's why we decided to hold our wedding celebrations there. The planning and organisation of the reception was stress free with flexibility to do what we wanted to do.

We, along with our guests, had an absolutely fantastic time. All of our guests were impressed with the venue, food and staff. The food, both wedding breakfast and buffet, were generous portions of very tasty food. The staff were attentive. The place has a great atmosphere.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arlingtons as either a restaurant or a wedding venue.

Thank you from Mr and Mrs Price

Looking forward to a meal before the cinema - checked opening times and menus online - special pre-theatre menu which sounded good. The website did not mention the need to book in advance and at 6.15pm on a wet Tuesday evening, I would not expect to have to book. However on our arrival, we were told as they had no bookings they were now closing. I thought the idea of a town centre restaurant was that a lot of passing trade is expected, after all both the Wolsey Theatre and the Film Theatre were open that night.

Dear Jan

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment and can only deeply apologise for our lack of clarity over closures. We are currently in the process of a complete refurbishment of the restaurant, and so at certain periods we have had to close the upstairs restaurant.

We are sorry that this was not made clearer on the information section of the website - however, we are now in the process of adding different features to our website to ensure that customers are informed of any closures. We do advise for customers to book in advance if they are planning a special evening, as this allows the correct arrangements to be made for planning and staff allocation - however we can completely understand your frustration as a result of misinformation.

We can only apologise again for your disappointment and we hope that you will be back to enjoy our Pre-Theatre menu.

Kind regards
Caroline

A last minute decision lead to a very pleasant meal in great surrounds.
Food was very nice, service a little slow, but there was a large party also in, so to be expected. Staff and service very good.
The environment of an old dance hall is a good location.

Had a lovely time here. The restaurant is large so its great for larger groups. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful.

We went to Arlingtons at lunch. I ordered an Earl Grey, jug of water and a sausage sandwich, without coleslaw or salad and expected chips, as the menu said I would get. What I got was an Earl Grey, a half pint of water (and only when my partner prompted the waitress) a sausage sandwich with coleslaw and salad and no chips. I asked where the chips were, and got the response that it comes with crisps instead, as chips only come with the "meal deal." The waitress then bought out a small portion of crisps. The attitude of the waitress was defensive and the menu misleading. The menu stated clearly that it came with chips, which it didn't. The meal wasn't worth the £6 or so that I paid for it. The sausages looked and tasted cheap. The best thing about my experience was the decor of the place. In summary I had a terrible experience and will not be returning.
