“Well worth a visit”

Unitarian Meeting House

A really wonderful building, truly atmospheric; a great contrast to its neighbour, the glass-plated Willis building!

Have enjoyed the chrismas carol service that is held every year just before Christmas on a Saturday night. This is lead by the people that either read or sing something that they think is aproiate .

This fine example of architecture is open to the public during the summer months on Thursdays and Saturdays 12-4pm.

The building is beautiful and when I entered a very friendly woman gave me a brief history lesson which was very interesting.

This is an example of something that should always be maintained so that future generations can enjoy it too.

The Unitarian Meeting House dates from 1699 and is a Grade I listed building. As one of the finest remaining meeting houses in the land it is well worth a visit. Some of its land and graves were lost in a road widening scheme. Other reviews below point out many of the Meeting House's features. If you like peace and qquiet this is th eplace to find it.

What a stunning building. Had the pleasure of seeing our friends get married here and must say it was a lovely experience. From the outside you would never guess how traditional the interior is - well worth a look!
