“Went for food and drinks!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2014

I went in to this nice pub for a visit. I had a couple of lovely pints, my colleague had drinks and some food, which we both agreed were nice. Reasonably priced for what you get and a nice pub to go to if you wanna get a little further away from the town centre, although still only 10-15mins walk from same.

“Great atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

Good beer, good range of food options all at sensible prices. Service is fast and cheerful. Can get busy at times so book a table in the evenings.

“Fantastic night... The best New Year's Eve in ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2014

Went New Year's Eve to see in the new year with a few friends... The drinks were flowing... The owner on the ipad banging out some tunes which ranged from the 60s to modern day... My favourite being cha cha slide which got everyone up dancing and grooving...can't fault this pub for drinks food or staff...

“Really good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 December 2013

Had the seafood platter which was simply huge and very tasty. Quaint old style pub but worth a visit if you're passing by.

“Food good, welcome less than warm!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013 via mobile

Woke up on Sunday morning and thought it would be nice to go out for breakfast. Had heard good things about The Greyhound and thought we would give it a try. Breakfast is served fro 10 until 11.30, arrived at 10.30, the place was busy enough but we could see two empty table and one table that needed to be cleared so we were a bit taken aback to be asked if we had a reservation! Why would we need one when there are empty tables? We ordered our food, no explanation about juice/toast etc. but I think you just ask for toast and help yourself to juice. Coffee is on the side but tea needs to be ordered. We are not mind readers, unless this is explained or signposted how are we to know? Table was very low and we both shunted it when we sat down! Drinks spilt every where, really not much fun. The food, however was great.
