Founded by local residents with financial support from Ipswich borough council and Sport England this skate park was the first of its kind in Suffolk to break the trend of standard "off the peg" skate facilities present in surrounding towns and villages.
Since 2002 the skate park has been well used every weekend, school holiday and evening ever since, a fact to be celebrated in 2012 as it's tenth year of service begins.
The skate park is made of concrete, and is an out door park. It is very smooth and fast. Floodlit at night until 11pm. Free to enter. Litter bins are provided. Sitting areas are provided. A ten minute walk from the Ipswich train station. There are car parking spaces at the skate park.
Over Grafton way there are fast food places in Cardinal park car park. Over stoke park bridge, in the opposite direction there is a small super market, ask a local for directions.
The river runs parallel to the park, following it's course towards the old dock / harbour presents a pleasent walk, one can see jelly fish in the harbour if you are lucky, and further down there are several restaurants and bars.
Have a good session.
