What a lovely park. I've visited twice recently for special outdoor wildlife family events. Always lots to do, or great just for a walk. Within walking distance of The Ipswich Waterfront and University. Well worth a visit. Has an active Friends group.

The park was the grounds of a small mansion owned by the Cobbold family, who were local brewers. It has benefitted from recent restoration work. It sits on the side of a hill where there are springs which fed the Cobbold brewery. Near the top of the hill is the site of the house, now demolished. The stables remain and, among other things, contain a small cafe.A very enjoyable place to stroll.

With a small car park you haven't far to walk to reach a lovely garden area or ponds with Duck and other birds. Plenty of seating dotted around the park for a rest or chat. With plenty of Different types of trees including Conker and Chestnut for all to pick. Plenty of grassy areas as well a children's play area.
