A fantastic range of real ales from local and national brewery's. Wonderful atmosphere, no music, you can order takeaways and eat on the premises during the week.

Lovely beer garden with great separate smoking area.

My husband and I have just eaten Sunday Lunch at the Fat Cat. I hesitate to tell you all how good it is for fear of not being able to reserve a table every Sunday to repeat the experience. It was excellent and the amuse de bouche of hot crackling was to die for. The beer was also excellent as were the waiting Staff. We will return ....thank you.

The Fat Cat is a great pub, with few pretensions - on certain evenings you can even order in a takeaway and eat it in the pub. It can be hard to get a seat or a table during busy periods, and it is often busy in the evenings or on sunny days.

The beer list is epic and contains a few (dangerous!) ciders, which can make the walk back down the hill into Ipswich a dangerous undertaking.

One of Ipswich's gems, the owners have got this place spot on - it's just a shame it's a bit of a way from the town centre, albeit this is probably why it is so good.

A nice pub, situated about a 10-15mins walk from the town centre. It's nice and cosy and definitely worth a visit and if you can grab a seat in the beer garden and it's a nice day, then go for it! Good selection of real ales on offer here.

I have to travel 185 miles to get here. This is a proper pub,a lovely atmosphere with an excellent selection of real ales at very competitive prices. The staff are very good and attentive. Such a pity that I have to travel so far!
