“Another wonderful stay”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This was our second visit to Souters after an enjoyable trip last year. Again it was a lovely few days, the cottage is in a lovely, secluded area & we were lucky with the weather to be able to sit on the patio both early morning & evening and watch the wildlife in the garden. The cottage is perfect with everything you need and the homemade cake, flowers and pint of milk on arrival is a very welcoming personal touch. Hopefully will be able to return very soon

“Great holiday location!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We had a lovely week at Souters in July 2014, and Nick has done a great job with the conversion. The cottage was clean and well equipped, and we loved all the little touches such as the fresh flowers, home made cake, and milk in the fridge - all were much appreciated!

As we had great weather while we were staying, we were able to make use of the outside patio area and sun loungers, and there’s a barbecue and chiminea that can also be used. The garden backs on to woods and it was lovely to sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet when we returned each evening...

Souters is in a great location for exploring coast, countryside and everything else Suffolk has to offer, and we made the most of it! Even f you decide not to travel far once you’ve arrived, there are plenty of places to wander near the cottage.

My sister joined us for the last night, and got to try out ‘Gribbles’ which is the shepherd’s hut that Nick has recently finished building in the garden. Although a small space, it’s been thoughtfully and comfortably decorated and has everything you need, including tea making facilities, a shelf of books, and its own shower room! My sister described it as ‘small but perfectly formed’!

Nick and Cath were so helpful and friendly throughout the booking process and when we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble.

Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a comfortable cottage in a beautiful rural (but easily accessible) area.

“As good as it gets”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We have rented a number of holiday cottages over the years, most of them very good but Souters now tops the charts. Stylishly furnished ,well equipped, delightful setting , helpful host -in fact, impossible to find fault.

Souters is a well equipped cottage providing everything you need for a short break, the location is private and makes for a relaxing stay. We took our dog with us and he enjoyed the surrounding countryside which is ideal for quiet walks.

“The perfect place to relax in comfort.”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to take some time out. Our first impression of Souters did not disappoint. The barn conversation is set in it's own garden, there is a lovely patio area, sun loungers, bbq and chiminea to enable you to take full advantage of the outdoors and wild life. There were fresh flowers and a home made cake awaiting us, which was very welcoming. Comfy sofas and bed ensured we were able to relax inside as well as out.! A nice surprise was the power shower!! There is also a wood burner, which we did not use as the weather was so good, but would love to return in the autumn to try it out. A car is essential for visiting nearby places of interest, but to be honest we only went out twice in our six night stay, preferring to take advantage of our surroundings at Souters. Nick and Cath (owners) are welcoming without being intrusive. We cannot recommend Souters highly enough, we left feeling refreshed and longing to return.

“A great place to "get away from it all" yet easy to get to.”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

It's a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We came for a cycling break and there are perfect little lanes straight from the door. Nice villages and scenery to enjoy on the way. Cottage is well enough equipped to cook there, but pubs are within bicycle distance or a short drive away. Hoping to go back for another long weekend soon.
