My colleague recently stated that she'd never eaten a kebab ! So four chaps took her for lunch to Siyako kebab house - I was hoping for the traditional kebab experience - it looked good from the outside - dirty, broken windows, peeling paint and dodgy looking blokes hanging around. Inside was similar - run down etc. The chap serving had poor English but was very friendly.
So we ordered our kebabs and sat down to wait, he then brought over a round of free Turkish tea with sugar, then kebabs arrive on plates, very healthly sized portions with massive pittas stacked on a plate, the food was very good and tasty - chips excellent and nice cold drinks. The food was possibly the best kebab iv'e ever had.
So did she get the traditional kebab experience? I'm afraid not, Siyako has set the bar very high !
