Arrived 30mins early but was shown straight to our table. All the staff were very good on giving a good service to the clientele. Food was of a very good quality and and the wine too. I agree with previous reviews it was a little expensive but great resto around the mariner.

One suggestion for improvement would be to buy more pepper mills, nobody these days uses ground pepper from the table.

Thanks again, will visit again.

Excellent meal, we all had the set 3 course menu which was excellent value. Very pleasant ambience in a good location. The menu was seasonal with a good choice, very pleasant staff. We will be returning. Well worth the trip from Norwich

I booked a lunchtime table for 12.00 yesterday. We arrived promptly but the door was locked. Finally we got someone's attention to open the door! (Mind you no apologies for late opening!) We were shown a nice table and given the menus. On the lunchtime menu - 2 courses for £10 were sausages and onions, but we were were quickly told that the sausages hadn't been delivered that morning. The choices were such that we ended up going for the 2 courses for £12.95 menu, as it seemed the choice was a bit limited on the other one. The food came quickly, starters followed by cod and chicken. Portions were on the light size, especially the cod. You needed the bread that was served to start with! Staff were friendly, and a nice atmosphere to spend a lunchtime. Perhaps on the pricey side for what it was.
