We went there for a night on a Saturday ( family party to attend) The only good things are that the rooms are clean & the air con in the rooms works. There is no atmosphere & its quite scary returning to the hotel in dark, it looks like the ghetto with people falling over in the street & staying where they fell. The restaurant in the hotel is not open in the evening & when we return my Husband went to hang his shirt up & the centre of the wardrobe collapsed. Even though the temperature outside was close to 30 degrees the heating was on in the hall ways. If you can book somewhere like the Cromwell, it is full of character, with helpful staff. As I said you cant fault the cleanliness of the rooms but that's all that I can say that good. And it hasn't got a car park either.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback.
Unfortunately there is not much the hotel can do about the surroundings and those falling in the street, we don't own the land around it is owned by the council.

The restaurant is open until 10.30pm and the bar until 11pm due to licensing agreements.

I am pleased you found the hotel clean.

Kind Regards

We stayed on Friday which is the cheapest night of the week (£40). Staff friendly and helpful.
Room clean but dirty wall ?tea stain, and slight damage to bed and window that was not a problem (We were offered another room).
Parking is close and max £4 for a single stay but if you want to drive before night then the Tesco is free for up to 3 hours.
Air con only made the room slightly cooler but outside was 29c, and we did get a good night's sleep.
I filled up a feedback form for Ibis and forgot to mention that the lift doesn't always line up with the floor level.
Cheaper than other budget hotels but similar in amenities.

Room Tip: Probably best to see the room first if you are a fussy visitor

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, I will investigate the problems in the room to ensure they are resolved and will ask our maintenance to contact the lift engineers to rectify the lining up problem.

I am pleased that apart from the above your stay was good.

We have stayed here a few times. Convenient for our trip, and within the shopping centre. Price not too bad. Single beds pushed together is the weakest point. Can be noisy at night in summer with planes landing at Luton and outside (deliveries) noise at night

exactly what I was looking for. Clean, quiet and good central location
Only issues:-
tried for months in advance to get a response via email in regards to car parking but didn't receive a response, though received an immediate response via Facebook once I tried this alternative :-)
Friendlier faces on the front desk would be nice, though most of them were very helpful
Bar closed early on the Sunday (though to be honest, didn't seem much demand)
Blinds/curtains in the room did let some light in, so not upto Premier Inn standard
Overall though, not much to complain about and Parking was only £4 for the whole weekend (though I believe it costs this for every time you take your car off the car park, so not as good for those using the car to travel around)

A good budget hotel which is close to the station and to the Gordon Craig Theatre so suited me well for this visit. The rooms are well designed and the bed was comfortable. The double shower cubicle was appreciated although the floor in it is very slippery. Free Wifi was handy and it worked well. I was on the 6th floor and there was a noise from a generator but I always carry earplugs so managed to sleep. Apparently it's only rooms 601, 603 and 605 which suffer from that noise!! It's a good location for the town centre and there's a Tesco opposite.

Room Tip: I like to be high up but avoid rooms 601, 603 and 605!! Apparently the rooms at the end of the corr...
