“A farm you'd go back to!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014 via mobile

We attended as friends with a young toddler. We kept to the schedule given to do all the lovely things like bottle feed lambs and go on deer safari there are lots of places to abandon a pram while doing all this. It seems very small but there is plenty to do there all day between activities. Lots of play areas to kill time and pedal go karting which we could have easily done all day! They give you a ticket half price to return in 1 week which you think 'why would I' but if you are on holiday this is a fabulous opportunity if you run out of things to do on holiday. Thumbs up to a great day not far from home!

“Great day out for younger kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

We found farmer palmers website while looking for things to do on holiday in Dorset. We have a 9 month old son and thought this would be ideal for him - we weren't disappointed! (We did visit on a week day during term time and as such there was a nice amount of people there. As some reviews have said, I can imagine it can get very busy during weekends/holidays.)

For what is quite a small space there is a lot packed in. There are various activities and talks cantered around the animals scheduled throughout the day from milking sessions to pig racing all of which were fun and informative. They also have a large indoor soft play area, sand and water play areas, bouncy castle, pedal go karts, slide park, ride-on tractor rink, woodland walk etc. There are a couple of attractions that incur an additional cost (the tractor ride and the deer safari).

I thought the admission price (3+ £8.50, 2 £4.25 and under 2's FOC) was fair considering what is on offer.

The cafe serves both hot and cold food at fairly reasonable prices. Picnics are welcomed but can only be eaten outside.

Although we had a great day, I can't wait for the little one to be a bit bigger so we can return and enjoy the activities he was a bit too young for on this occasion!

“Fun family day out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

We arrived here when the farm first opened it was very quiet but got busier later as expected. There was plenty of things to do but don't think you could spend a whole day here. We went on the woodland walk which was nice.... I think charging for the tractor ride was a little cheeky as surely it should be included in your ticket price... All in all a good morning out :)
