“Short but brilliant stay at Pine Ridge, Poole.”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Four of us stayed in March 2014 for one night and all agreed that the standard was extremely high. From initial reception to goodbye we felt we were the focus of attention at all times. Fantastic rooms (both the red and yellow) great breakfasts and a glorious dog called Barney all supported Jill's vision of a first class accommodation. There was plenty of tea and coffee and also welcome fudge. A fridge to keep milk cool was particularly welcome. The bathrooms were superb and the showers the largest we have ever seen. This was the first time we ever saw 'waterfall taps' and we intend to get some. Everything was spotless and Jill clearly oversees one of the best operations in the south of England and beyond! The purpose of our trip was to visit the grave of Alfred Russel Wallace at nearby Broadstone Cemetery, and Pine Ridge Lodge is very close for this. No doubt we will return. The four of us nowadays demand class and comfort when we stay away these days. We were not disappointed in any way at Pine Ridge Lodge so we can honestly recommend it very highly. See accompanying photographs!

Room Tip: Both the yellow and red rooms are excellent. It does not matter which you choose. You won't be d...

We stayed one night and the lady who owns the place stayed up late for us to arrive at 11pm! We stayed in the mellow yellow room! The facilities were excellent, the presentation of the room was exceptional and the room as a whole was extremely comfortable! We had a full cooked breakfast at 8am! My friend had an interview at Poole hospital at 10am and suffered a severe nose bleed at breakfast! The lady who owns the b&b was brilliant, she gave us Ice cubes and checked regularly to see if we were ok! She then offered to drive my friend to the hospital so she didn't have to rush or worry about parking. Couldn't have wished for a better stay and well worth the money! We will definitely be returning next time we stay in Poole

Jill Weber was a joy to meet and a great host. The house and room was spotless warm and inviting. Very well appointed facilities and very, very comfortable. Breakfast was prompt and all that I could have expected. I would stay there again and most likely will.

David Cooper-Groves JP.

Room Tip: All rooms are very good and quiet

We spent last Valentine's weekend at the Pine Ridge and it was lovely. For us, what makes this place really stand out, is Jill the host. Genuinely welcoming, very attentive to customers needs, but not intrusive, she will go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant . Fresh baked buiscuits and chocolate fudge in the room, added a sweet touch to our stay. Despite the bad weather the room was warm and the king-sized bed very confortable. Like other reviewers stated, rooms are spotless clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Good quality food for breakfasts with plenty of choice. Try the home made raspberry jam! Its position is perfect to visit Corfe Castle, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. This was our third stay at the Pine Ridge and we'll definitely come back.

We have stayed at Pineridge on 2 occasions now and the quality of this B&B is amazing. Definitely the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Rooms are extremely comfortable - spacious and contemporary with luxurious furnishings. Everything is spotless and so well maintained. Jill is a very welcoming and helpful host - her guidance/advice about the local area, restaurants etc is very useful. Breakfast is cooked to order and plentiful; nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely stay at Pineridge when we're in the area again.

Room Tip: We've stayed in Red Room and Mellow Yellow. Both are beautiful.

Thank you so much for staying with me again. I'm glad you liked Mellow Yellow as much as you did the Red Room.

I have stayed in the red room and loved it. It was spacious and very nicely decorated. It included everything you might need during your stay and more. There was even a jug of milk in the fridge for tea. Bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom with an amazing shower and bath.
The hotel is walking distance, 2 minutes, from Thai, Italian and Indian restaurants.
I decided to go with Thai and had the best yellow curry ever.
Hotel is located in a very quiet part of Poole which allowed me to have a great night sleep even though I am a fussy sleeper.
Could not recommend it more.

Thank you for your kind words. I have traveled extensively on business and have tried to make sure Pine Ridge has everything I wanted back then. The choice of restaurants within walking distance was a key part of my location search.

I booked pine ridge B&B back in May when my sister and Brother-in-Law booked flights over from Australia as I wanted to book ahead and planned to stay for one night on 27th December 2013 Jill from the very beginning was so helpful and friendly and although I was booking so far in advance she didn't take a deposit.
After a full day we arrived at Pine Ridge to be greeted by Jill and shown to our wonderful rooms we had The Mellow yellow which has a wonderfully comfortable bed ,lovely bathroom and shower and super soft towels. Everywhere was so clean and decorated to very high standard.
We loved the little tasteful Christmas ornaments in the room and the chocolate reindeer :)
My sister and brother in law had a huge bath and equally the same standards in The Red Room and were so happy as we had surprised them with our accommodation.
Jill was very helpful with recommending The good Yards for a wonderful meal and drink within easy walking distance that evening
Breakfast was organic , local produce and the homemade granola was yummy in the perfect breakfast room
We could not fault Jill and her lovely B&B and hope to stay again in the future
Thank you Jill

Room Tip: Mellow yellow and The red room both exceptional Please ignore the ' Swimming pool' ratin...
