Owner description: Remembering past sacrifice to inspire future generations. Many brave and selfless RNLI volunteers are remembered proudly in their local communities. However, the RNLI memorial sculpture in Poole is the only place where each and every one of them is named together. The RNLI hopes that future generations of lifeboat crew, lifeguards, supporters and fundraisers will find it a source of inspiration. Ultimately, the memorial reminds us all that there are still people who volunteer to carry out selfless acts of heroism to help others - we will always remember their sacrifice.

Worth a look if you have sea in your veins and respect the dedication and self-sacrifice of the incredible men and women, past and present of the RNLI. Agree that access to the sculpture is tricky, but dont forget - it is right by the RNLI college and the restaurant is open to the public (also an RNLI shop), so you can show your admiration and support by popping in and making a purchase or two....

Looks good not sure how it will handle the the weather.
Not easy to park close by and no stopping as on one of the main roads in Poole.
I parked in Asda car park did some shopping and walked over.
I support the RNLI and think they do so much and dont pester you like other charities.

The RNLI Memorial Sculpture is a great addition to the RNLI area having a perminant memorial to all the RNLI crewman that lost their lives protecting the coast of britian. A perfect statue with all the names of the fallen crew.
