Recommend the afternoon tea. Truly scrumptious. Gorgeous cakes, scones, jam and cream, and delidious sandwiches. Gorgeous. All washed down with a lovely cup of tea. My tipple. Alcohol is available. The view over Poolr harbour was gorgeous. A real pleasure.

Stayed here for 2 nights and found everything to be 100% ! Car parking is easy (once you've located the RNLI College) and is free. The hotel is part of the college and not only provides rooms for the lifeboat crews whilst they atttend training courses, but also for visitors to Poole who prefer something a little different. There is a panoramic bar where you can sit and enjoy the various maritime activities and have a bar meal plus a separate resturaunt downstairs offering the same views and two alternative menus. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is superb. The hotel has 60 rooms but a number are reserved for lifeboat crews so I would recommend an early booking rather than a last minute one. Although I think that non RNLI members are accommdated it is rather nice to join the RNLI and not only enjoy a stay here but also know that you're supporting the RNLI financially.

Just returned from a two night stay as we took our parents to stay for their 50th anniversary.
All of the staff are very friendly and always had time for a chat.
We were only going to eat in the restaurant on the first night, but after trying the delicious food we decided to eat there on our second night as well. The extensive menu is changed everyday and is great value for money.
The rooms were comfortable, clean, and all had wonderful sea views over Holes Bay and the Twin Sails Bridge.
We also took the tour of the college and training facilities (free if you are staying) which included the lifeboat simulator which was very interesting!
Thank you to all the staff - we hope to return soon to the hotel with a difference.

Just returned from a lovely weekend. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Very helpful friendly staff, rooms have stunning views, very clean & comfortable. Lovely evening meal, close to town - what more could you ask for other than some more sunshine!

College is a perfect stopover right next to the ferry port. Good value for money and great for dinner with a lovely view of the water. We stayed on a Saturday night and unfortunately they don't start serving breakfast until 8am - too late for guests catching the ferry to Cherbourg. That was my only criticism

Hi Cotworldsifan

Thank you for your kind review with tripadvisor. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. I'm not sure if you asked, but we would always be very happy to provide a take out breakfast for guests having to catch a ferry, or leaving early. Our Lifeboat Crews are often up and out with breakfast 'on the go!'

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for supporting RNLI saving lives at sea.

Spent two nights at the RNLI COLLEGE, When I first found out where we staying I was sceptical. But from our arrival the stay was superb. Our room had fantastic views across the Harbour, and spending time in the bar and on the balcony we afforded even better views.. Breakfast was as good as you get in a Hilton, Marriott etc A REAL GEM. don't be put off by the name

Hi Maybe

Thank you for taking the time to review RNLI College with tripadvisor. We are really grateful for your kind review.

We are a working College, but quite unique. We are not the usual 'hotel brand' but home of RNLI training for our fantactic Lifeboat Crews, Lifeguards and Flood rescue teams. We do try and offer our volunteers a real 'home from home' and want to extend this individual level of hospitality to all of our supporters.

Every £ spent with us helps support RNLI saving life at sea. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.

Kind Regards

Richard
