Being a regular here myself, thought it a good idea to take my two italalian friends here for lunch. They know their food so well and are quite picky.
The four of us had asparagus. Scallops and piri piri chicken to start. Then for mains the Pork belly, fish and chips, noodles with pork and the Hake. Yet again another outstanding meal. They were really impressed with the food and service we were given.
Top notch guys.... Keep it up!!

We've been past this rather unassuming pub hundreds of times before and decided to stop in for lunch today not really knowing what to expect. Fantastic choice! The food was delicious - it's not often you get really fresh and well cooked food from a menu this extensive and varied but that's exactly what we were served. Such great value for money too, along with great service. We will definitely be making this our go-to place for meals on the Quay in the future.

Had lunch today at the Portsmouth hoy, slow cooked pork belly with rosemary mash, my friends had the fish and chips, the batter super crisp and light and the chips where exactly how chips should be, the finale was the Mexican chilli chocolate pot, ingenious and fantastic way to finish our meal

Nearly passed by but we were hungry and thirsty after a busy day at beach - saw the fish and chips advertised and it ticked all boxes! The barman was welcoming and friendly and recommended one of the Badger ales on tap. The fish and chips was excellent, crisp batter, skin on chips with puréed peas and tartar sauce. The barman came back over to check everything was OK and had a little time for a friendly chat. All in all a great customer experience leaving us with a positive feeling about Poole. Hopefully get a chance to return soon.

Serious Saturday Mission "Moules On The Quay" week 5
Thai style mussels, with coriander, ginger and chilli on menu (which suited at least one Philistine among us), but very accommodating chef was happy to do classic moules marinière. Excellent, very good value lunch at £6 for 20 mussels = 30p each
