“Best gluten free scones!”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

During my stay at the Haven, I really have to commend the team on their gluten free and dairy free scones which were out of this world! Having been intolerant for 4 years I can safely say they made the best GF afternoon tea I've ever had! It was truly delicious and would recommend to any fellow coeliacs!

Just got back from the Haven. The Haven is fantastic and staff will do anything to help make your stay more comfortable. The outdoor pool is warm and clean and the little beach outside the gate is perfect. I think the Spa section could do with some updating as it doesn't compare with the atmosphere and décor of say Ragdale Hall or other Spa hotels. But it is all about the views - the balcony rooms on the harbour side on the first floor are covered, so even in the rain, you can sit outside and relax. The rooms at the front have great views over the Purbeck Hills. Parking is sometimes an issue at busy times and on weekends when there are events.
We love staying at the Haven and visit 4 or 5 times a year. Look out for their special deals.

Room Tip: First floor balcony rooms on the harbour side are covered and sheltered from wind and rain.

My wife and I have just returned from a brilliant two day break at The Haven Hotel Sandbanks, Poole. This was one of the best experiences we've had of British hotels. The location is right on the seafront, the reception staff were very helpful and welcoming, the bedroom (standard room) was lovely with a sea view, very clean with good facilities. Food was outstanding and all the staff (mainly from outside UK) were very friendly, and professional. The breakfast meal could only be described as brilliant. All in all, we had a lovely relaxing time and can't wait to return in the near future. Thanks to all at The Haven.

Spent a great 3 night weekend at this hotel, lovely comfortable room with balcony overlooking the sea and Shell Bay.
Our Family celebration on the Saturday night was excellent, great meal and very attentive staff. Breakfast choice very good too.
Very comfortable hotel in an amazing location

Room Tip: Overlooking the sea, great views.

The weather was lovely and sitting outside on the terrace watching the boats come and go was just so relaxing. Our two day break was perfect. Pleasant, spacious room, well equipped and comfortable bed. Although we heard the chain ferry as expected, it finished around 11.00 pm and didn't really bother us. The food was very good and we ate in the hotel restaurant on both nights. Service, both at reception, in the spa and in the bars and restaurant was efficient and friendly. We will return.

Room Tip: Be aware that you can hear the chain ferry on rooms on the ferry side of the building

Stayed 2 nights in March for a wedding party. Great atmosphere in this large seafront hotel, breakfast and evening catering was also of a very high standard. Suited the occasion very well and definitely recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facilities were great and the food was delicious. The only problem we encountered was operating the TV. The instructions were terrible and even the staff struggled to sort it out. All in all it was a really enjoyable break in a family friendly hotel.
