We visited briefly for a coffee whilst staying in the area and there was no problem taking our dog onto the terrace. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We would love to stay their sometime. It was a total contrast to the Sandbanks Hotel where we had visited the previous day expecting great things, but were very disappointed.

Very easy to find hotel situated at the end of Sandbanks, ferry on one side, big sandy beach on the other. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast very good. After a day exploring, what a bliss to use the big outdoor pool. It was cold outside (May), but it felt very warm, with water temperature 31 degree keeping us warm, in and out. You must try it... At the end of the pool you come out onto the lovely sandy beach. Great if it is a sunny day. We spent only 2 nights but will go again, in summer this time.

Just spent 3 nights at this hotel in a standard room. The room was very clean and the bed was large and comfortable. The large bathroom was well appointed and spotless with the room serviced daily with no complaints. Our room overlooked the car park at the front of the hotel and some noise was experienced in the mornings, but I believe some refurbishment was taking place, so there were materials being delivered. The room was also unbelievably warm - so much so that we had the windows open continually and a fan running all night long. Maybe a balcony room would have been better?
The buffet breakfast could not be faulted as to the variety on offer, and the hot food was continually being replenished. The Restaurant offers a fixed price menu for evening dinner with various selections, all excellently prepared.
The hotel is ideally situated as you are next to the Brownsea Island ferry, the chain ferry and the bus stop. We didn't have to drive for 2 days as we went to Brownsea one day and caught the bus to Swanage on the second day.
Well worth a visit for 2 nights due to its location, but I would not return to Sandbanks as it is a very built up area.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous position right at the tip of Sandbanks, overlooking Brownsea island and Studland. Staff all very friendly. Our room overlooked the chain ferry, which can be a little noisy but didn't disturb us at all. Large, private balcony, with fantastic views. Room (123) was super clean, nice bedding and soft towels. TV wasn't working at first but remedied immediately. Coffee or a glass of wine on the outside patio, watching the boats pass by is just simply wonderful. Definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Definitely worth paying the extra for a sea view room.

This was a short 2 night trip for me and my partner when stayed back in September 13! Great hotel, right along the beach and top quality view over looking Brownsea island. Guest amenities were excellent, fresh bedding and the breakfast was nicely prepared with great waiting staff. I visit Sandbanks every year more than once and we always pop in for a drink over looking the sea! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for 1 or 2 night break away.

Room Tip: You must get a sea view room... well worth the extra £'s!!!

We had a wonderful few days at this hotel, helped by fabulous weather. Our room had a balcony overlooking the chain ferry and we became addicted to watching the cars, buses and even blue light ambulances crossing the water. The room was fine but the ensuite was very small, no room for 2 at a time. However the patio offered an amazing view of the sea/boats/ferries and fishermen. Sitting out with a glass of wine in the afternoon and just watching the world go by is just wonderful. Lots of amazing houses to see nearby on Sandbanks we just need a very large lottery win!

Room Tip: Pay the extra and have a room with a balcony it's well worth it for the view

This was our third trip to The Haven Hotel and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are courteous and friendly - nothing is too much trouble, the view is breath taking and even the standard rooms exceed expectations! My only criticism is that the menu does not cater for vegetarians. I did mention this on a previous review last year but sadly nothing has changed. We therefore travelled to their sister hotel 'Sandbanks', since their vegetarian menu has vastly improved and we were spoilt for choice. So well done Sandbanks and I hope The Haven takes this on board. I will then be more than happy to score an excellent 5 out of 5 stars.

Room Tip: Don't have the standard room over the boiler house.
