We organised a Masonic ladies weekend here and had 124 people stay, some from 1 night up to 3 nights like ourselves. The staff were all very good and the general manager was very helpful. The hotel is well situated and a great place to explore local attractions like Bournemouth town ,Poole ,The New Forest or jump on the chain ferry for great beaches and a trip to Swanage.
The rooms are generally all very nice and like all hotels some are better than others,as are the views ,some have stunning views across to the Isle Of Wight some with a less impressive car park view. The food was of a good standard all weekend ,the drinks are quiet expensive also.
We were very lucky to be blessed with hot sunny weather all weekend which helps but we had very few complaints from the rest of the group. So if you are thinking of a big group booking I would say yes to this hotel and try and book the whole hotel exclusively to you for better rates. We did this and we had a few problems with the hotel trying to book good rooms to people outside of our group,so keep an eye on your room numbers .Generally good ,maybe in need of some decoration here and there before it starts looking tatty.
