My wife booked this as a birthday treat for me and a lovely surprise it was too! We were upgraded to a fabulous room with a roll top bath in the room and two huge TV's. We had a romantic supper in the bistro and although we were seated a little too close to the other guests it was quite enjoyable. We were very impressed by the extensive wine list but most of it is very expensive. Good for a special treat.

This was our third time at this hotel. Previously we had stayed in the room called 'Grange' but fancied trying out a different room. We were given a room on the ground floor facing the street (can't remember the name unfortunately). At first I was reticent about it, normally preferring a higher floor, however my initial reluctance was unfounded. The room was spacious, clean and very quiet (hotel is on a very quiet street). Breakfast was fresh, hot and real (no concentrates or short cuts on food quality).
Poole is lovely place to spend a weekend, so much so, we're coming back again in August!

Visted here for Afternoon tea one Saturday and treated my friend for her Birthday. Sandwiches we're pretty average and i'd have expected more traditional fillings, the selection of cakes were poor and there was nothing classy about them which you would expect from an afternoon tea. The scones were delicioius but sadly the whole thing was poorly presented, Service was slow and i'm convinced we had been forgotten about. The nicest touch was a complimentary glass of prosecco as it was a birthday celebration, shame the room you take afternoon tea in has no windows in and we could hardly see the afternoon tea infront of us. Very Very dark with low lighting not where you expect to take afternoon tea in June!! The staff took a along time to also acknowledge us even though we had booked. Overall a very average experience in what is not a very average establishment. Definitely expected more......

Had a lovely night here after a friend's wedding. The staff couldn't be more helpful.

We rang down to ask if there was a high chair in the bar so that we could feed our son and the response really suprised us: We were ased if we wanted one brought up to our room. This was a lovely, very helpful, and much appreciated gesture.

The staff in the restaurant were also wonderful and the breakfast was absolutely incredible!

Great location! Beautiful rooms and amazing bathrooms! Last but not least the service was impeccable! We have done the Du Vin chain in Brighton, Birmingham, Henley on Thames and now Poole. Love it!
Had lunch in the court yard... lovely sandwiches and a perfectly chilled bottle of white.
Dinner in the restaurant, the service was great and the food wonderful. Had the veal with a side of garlic pasta. We did bed and breakfast and the cooked food was great! I had the eggs benedict and the steak and eggs... no not at the same time! lol Delish!!! Hubby said that the continental breakfast was good! Look forward to the next time! Thanks for a great weekend!

We spent just one night at the Hotel Du Vin in Poole last week, and it was gorgeous. The hotel room was extremely comfortable, wonderful big bed and comfy bedding. The bathroom was fantastic. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious (dinner and breakfast). Cannot recommend it highly enough, will definitely go back there.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a lovely large room in the front of the hotel on the second floor.
The large bed was very comfy and the room was bright and well decorated. One small grip is It would have been nice to have complementary water in the room which seems to be standard in most hotels but not this one.
Yes the hotel is quite pricey but I believe you get what you pay for. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but had breakfast here which we found to be slightly disappointing....Scrambled egg over cooked fried eggs yolk solid not a great sausage. Over all I would stay here again if we were in Poole but would book room only.
