This is a family run B & B with three rooms, all with en-suite showers/toilet. It is located in a quiet area but some distance from the shops and restaurants. That said, there is a beach about a fifteen walk away. It provides the basics of TV, tea/coffee facilities (fresh milk) and bottled water - no toiletries. It is shared breakfast seating but you will find that this is no hardship. The breakfast has a good selection comprising fruit cocktail, cereals, yoghurt and the usual cooked fare with tea/coffee and toast. It is cooked very well but the inclusion of “chipolata” sausages may annoy traditionalists. I think most people will agree that the usual breakfast sausage is a “must”. The size of the cooked breakfast will not satisfy the hungry person but in my view is just about adequate for most.
The rooms are of good size and spotless, beds large and comfortable. I have stayed here several times now and never found fault except on my last occasion where the bathmat was very dirty. I forgive them because I am certain this was an oversight as these people are fastidious in their cleanliness. The owners are very friendly, flexible and accommodating. It is what it is, a typical “home” B & B and in that category, excellent.
The room prices seem to range from as low £40 to £70 depending upon the season and this, in my book, is great value for money for the area. We use it when seeing relatives and for one or two nights, it is ideal.
