“SPOTLESS LUXURY ON SCENIC LOCATION”
Reviewed 11 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I returned to Sandbanks for a second visit at the end of February.I traveled from London by train and at Poole station I caught the Blue No 1 bus that ttook me to the bus stop right outside the cottage. The cottage is situated on the area known as 'The Quay'and is a short walk tot he shops and bars including the 'Jolly Sailor' where I was able to watch the soccer and rugby on Sky Sports.

For fish lovers an excellent fish monger 'Frank Greenslades'is within easy walking distance where I was able to buy a live lobster when the fishing boat arrives at about 11 am.They also sell succulent mussels and a wide selection of fresh fish.

From the Quay one can catch a ferry across to Brownsea Island which has one of the last populations of red squirrels and is where the boy scouts were founded. There are also three excellent bird watching hides for those interested in observing a variety of water birds some of which are migratory.Admission is free to members of the National Trust.

Sandbanks View is very well equiped throughout ,has two double bedrooms and a childs' room with two bunk beds.Although the air temperature at this time of the year is the same as in London one should dress to withstand the wind chill effect of the strong coastal winds..In the event of a rainy day an umbrella cannot withstand the wind so a cagoul is useful to have at hand.

I am planning to come again in the summer with a group of friends.

Lovely holiday let which is perfectly placed between Poole Quay and Poole Park. 3 good sized double rooms and an open plan ground floor with attached sun room means there is a lot of space within the property, as well as a balcony with a great view of the harbour. Short stroll to local amenities and entertainment with a designated car parking space. Great communication prior to and post let from the owner makes this an easy holiday in all respects.

“Brilliant”

The scenery from the house was fantastic; it was lovely, sitting on the decking with a glass of wine, looking out to sea. The location was very convenient for Poole Quay - just a short walk. We enjoyed plenty of lovely meals at the many restaurants on the Quay. It's also possible to take the ferry from here over to the the Isle of Wight on a day excursion.
The house itself is very comfortable, well equipped (even a torch was provided!) and beautifully clean. A basket of goodies to welcome us was a nice touch and having access to wifi was a real bonus. Our only minor grumble would be insufficient tea towels. We particularly liked the Garden Room and the walk-in shower.
We had a lovely holiday and will definitely return.

Thank you for such helpful feedback. You could have also mentioned how close we are to Poole Park with it's lakeside walks and wifi all over. Strange but true !

“Ideal location”
Reviewed 28 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We rented this house situated right on Poole bay waterfront. It was clean, warm, quiet, and comfortable, and very well equipped such that it fulfilled everything we wanted. The provision of free wifi was most useful. The views were stunning, especially the sun rise over the bay. The location is very convenient, there are several supermarkets in easy walking distance and Poole makes a great base to explore Dorset.

Yes the sunrise over Sandbanks is quite special. Thanks for pointing out the free WiFi. You could also have mentioned the HD TV and free use of landline.

“Brilliant location and fantastic views”
Reviewed 15 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

This was the second time we have stayed for a week and the only let down is the weather.
Very comfortable accommodation and handy location for all that Poole Quay and town centre offers.
On the odd sunny day that we had to be able to sit on the balcony or in the garden and watch the world go by in the harbour is unbeatable.
Hope to visit again one day.

Lovely to welcome you back to Sandbanks View, most of my guests are repeat customers. Thank you for highlighting the superb location being on the shoreline and close to Poole Quay. Next time hopefully you'll have better weather and will be able to take advantage of the balcony and patio overlooking Sandbanks and the Harbour.

“Can't fault it! Perfect!”
Reviewed 6 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Absolutely love this house! Every facility you need for a lovely holiday. Superb location with fantastic views and two outside sitting areas. Fab balcony outside double bedroom and could lie in bed and look at the sea!! Can't ask for more than that. Owner very helpful and made booking etc very easy. Parking area too. Sea, shops and park within easy walking distance. Central heating if needed, which is important these days!!
Great to wake up, step on the balcony and see the sea, then have breakfast sitting there!
Very good restaurants close by and lots of events going on during the year.
Would definitely come back and recommend it to everyone!
