This place is great for children's theatre, we have enjoyed a number of shows. My daughter is 5 and thought the rapunzel, Little red you know who, boy who cried wolf and Xmas theatre were great ( and I enjoyed them too). Love the craft sessions before and after. Very good value compared to what you'd pay for panto and far more appropriate for pre-schoolers.

Lovely atmosphere and good acoustics. We attended Gilbert & Sullivan and enjoyed the experience. Drinks and ice cream at interval is NOT overpriced - what a refreshing experience.

We visited The Lighthouse with friends in June to see the wonderful show That'll be the day. Right through from booking the tickets to going to the show was a nice easy process.

Before the show started we all met up in the cafe which is in the foyer area and offers a mixture of cooked meals and lighter snacks as well as tea, coffee and cakes. There are also plenty of clean toilets at this venue and the disabled visitor is well catered for.

As we had already eaten our main meal we opted for coffee and cake both of which were very good.

The staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of space to sit even though it was quite busy.

Our show was upstairs and there are lifts as well as a nice wide staircase. On the doors the stewards were helpful and made sure we knew where our seats were.

We enjoyed a great show, the seats were comfortable and the whole place is just great.

Well worth a visit

The staff are excellent. The venue perfect for our event - efficient and unobtrusive. Great for a business function.

We recently went to the Lighthouse to see Suzanne Vega.

It was a hot day but the temperature in the theatre was really pleasant, the seats were comfortable and the leg room was good.

The bar facilities were good, the cafe wasn't to our taste but that was more to do with us being fussy! If the food had been to our taste we would certainly have eaten there as the cafe was immaculate.

A great venue
