We had to queue for about 30 minutes at a busy time of day, but with a ferry every 20 minutes they handled the queues well.
Hardly time to get out of the car, but you get a great view from the top deck.

A great way to cross Poole harbour and a lot quicker than the drive right round through Wareham. In high peek times its better to get to the ferry early as it gets very busy & a lot of queuing. If your travelling from Poole to Studland you have a few shops to grab an icecream or a coffee while you wait. Travelling back you not so lucky.

The tolls are very reasonable i think

Pedestrians £1.00
Pedal or Motor Cycle £1.00
Car or Light Van/Most Camper Vans ( up to 3500 Kg maximum operating weight ) minibuses up to 17 seats £3.50
Goods Vehicle with a maximum operating weight of more than 3500 Kg. Toll includes VAT at the applicable rate £7.00
Bus or Coach (with 18 or more seats inc. driver) £8.00

All in all worth the wait & a lovely beaches on the Studland side

Great way to cross the harbor in a very short time that saves a long drive. It can get very busy on a summer Sunday, but can be worth the wait. Grab a coffee or an ice cream and enjoy, it only costs £3.50 each way.
