I would describe The Churchill as 'cheap and cheerful' but with surprisingly good food. This is a big pub which is well used by locals but that shouldn't put off the visitor as we found the bar and waiting staff were all very friendly and efficient. We had two steak dishes and they were absolutely delicious - very lean, tender, thick and juicy and for around £6 each - amazing. High ceilings and lots of hard surfaces make this a noisy pub, not helped by a busy road right past the front door and several Kids running around. Pool table and dart board available. Worth a try just for the food.

You'll be lucky to get served if the only person serving is the Landlady. She looks around for something to do or someone to talk to rather than serve. We have eaten in here a few times and the food is OK. Nothing special.

Our order came out quickly. The food was nice. Plenty of it. The pub was alright. We usee it because it was too cold to go to Poole. Looks better now it is the Churchill and not the parkstone.
