As a local I had missed this restaurant which has the number 2 position in Poole so felt impelled to investigate. Booked for a Friday evening, only 2 other diners when we arrived. Extremely attentive & charming owner/manager. Small restaurant with c. 20 covers. Menu long enough & very well prepared food . Pork belly excellent & ample. Wines start at 16.95. Not the place to go if want something to look at but perfect for an intimate romantic tete a tete. Owner attentive but not intrusive. Food come quickly & hot. Dark cosy atmosphere did not seem quiter right for a hot summer evening, splendid for a cosy winter dinner. Very reasonably priced although fillet steak looks expensive when there is aperfectly reasonable rib-eye for 15.00. 6 other diners in when we left. Great for intimate special occasion but parties over 8 people & no children allowed.
