This is a typical Premier Inn with the added value of its own restaurant. I do agree with another writer that the lack of a continental breakfast is not good. The buffet breakfast was quite good and we had a very good evening meal at an acceptable price.

What we did not like was to arrive back on the second evening to find that our room on the south side of the building was HOT 25C and the only way to cool it down was to leave the window open. This would have been OK if there had not been a busy cross roads immediately outside. This is a problem PI needs to address urgently.

The cleaners should also vacuum the bed stored under the double bed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the car park side or the first floor.

I am actually writing this from the premier inn in question. Over recent weeks I have stayed in premier inns almost every weekday night ( the convenience of a premier inn business card). I have in most cases had a comfortable, if somewhat overpriced night. Booking week to week carries the premium of rooms priced well beyond a budget hotel. On arrival at this one I was informed that there is not a continental breakfast option. That may not sound important but when the only option is a full English at an additional £8.95 on top of the £80 for the room and chargeable Internet ( only half hour is free) then this is not a budget hotel. Clearly those who do not care about the company budget will simply sign up for this as the charges mount up ( and a full fried breakfast does not do much for those more health conscious travellers). In contrast most holiday inn expresses are cheaper, include breakfast and have free Internet access. I would urge company finance managers to examine the costs of premier inns and the 'chargeable options' before signing up for the business card which appears to penalise rather than reward regular travellers.

Thanks for your feedback.

We are very pleased that our team at the hotel ensured that you were well looked after. Thank you also for your comments regarding our business card service. Although this does not provide discounted service, it does provide many desirable benefits, including:

-The ability to pre-authorise payments and set spend limits
-Being able to manage accounts centrally from a single department
-Paying for all services at once, including accommodation, food and conference facilities
-No administrative charges, and interest-free credit

Thank you once again for your review: we hope to welcome you back to Premier Inn in the future.

The hotel had everything we needed for our time in Poole. Room was large, comfortable, clean and for the most part quiet. For some reason we always seem to get an elephant staying in the room above us!!! There was a problem with the booking in that we were going to be charged the full rate when we arrived even though we had a booked well before hand at the cheaper rate. Good job we had printed off the booking to present to the reception Staff and they then charged us the correct amount. The Staff were very attentive and though there was a limited choice in the restaurant the food was very good. The Breakfast was not to missed especially when you go for the evening meal/breakfast deal. Overall very good

Room Tip: If you have booked in advance check you are being charged the correct amount when checking in

Recently stayed at this premier inn before catching the early ferry to the channel islands and on our return.Booked on line and got a very good rate for a family of three.only 5 mins or so from the port so was ideal for us.Make sure you don't confuse this one with Holes Bay which can be seen from the main road,

Travel cot and room set up as requested. Bed lovely, comfortable and big. What you expect from a premier inn but the service from the staff, both on reception and at breakfast improved the stay. Plenty of parking and good location. just what was required

The advertising banner said £29 a room......... no surprise then that it was £69. That aside I payed the money as I was very tired from driving allday. The room was a good size , comfy bed and very pleasant staff. The evening meal and drinks was very reasonable at £10 per head. The carpark was a good size with good access and well lit at night.

Stayed for two nights. Excellent friendly staff . Very quick check in. Room good size and clean. Comfortable bed.
Had dinner in the restaurant. Not great but reasonable for the price. Probably a better bet to find a restaurant in nearby Poole. Agree with the previous revewer, a lot of the staff in the restaurant are trainees. Nonetheless they are pleasant and try hard although one did drop the ice from a drink on to me. Not the end of the world.

This Premier Inn is keeping up the high standard of the others we have stayed in

Stayed for one night on 12th May, arrived at 13.20 had to wait til 14.00 to check in which was fine so had coffee in bar area. Room was good size and so was bathroom, however bathroom was not as clean as should be, ie toilet unclean and the bath had long black hairs in it. We were by a corridor door which was quite noisy throughout the night and we had noisy neighbours in the room above us, so we didnt have the best nights sleep. Breakfast was good and lots of choice which set us up for the day.

Room Tip: Try to avoid one near a corridor door, i would suggest top floor too as we had very noisy neighbours...
