Owner description: Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 30 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

Absolutely stunning long sandy, clean and pretty beach!we come from a seaside town so we are use to nice beaches. However this feels like abroad and the water was so clear. Just blew us away!

Took the dogs out for a trip to the beach. Dedicated dog beach nice and clean, water was clean as well, when leaving there is a dog shower which you have to pay for, not sure on price but worth remembering for my next visit. Was not impressed with the menus at the cafe so passed on these, so can’t really comment on value for money. The only let down for me was that families with young kids and no dogs also used the dog beach, so if you’re pets don’t do well with children, it can be a little frustrating

Magical place to spend a day or a weekend.
Although if you want to get your place in the warm sand, wake up early as the traffic builds up very quickly and you may have to wait ove an one hours to get your car parked.
A big thumbs up for Poole council for keeping the Sandbanks beach a suck welcoming place.

I feel as though this is a very safe beach, however it could be cleaner. This is only down to visitors and tourists who do not take their rubbish with them and who smoke on the beach and put their cigarette buts out in the sand, not ideal when there are children playing in the sand and digging. Other than this, it is perfect for walks any time of the day. Ice cream boat comes across throughout the day for you to purchase ice cream at the waters edge. Water is safe, with lifeguards overlooking the area and when we visited on Sunday they were always there patrolling the area
