My wife and I stayed at the danecourt and were looked after like we expected to be in a 5* hotel.
Pat does all she can to make your stay as comfy as she can. There was nothing to complain about at all. apart from the weather and no one is to blame for that.
Having the Jacuzi bath in our room was a treat, and my wife who is a shower only type of girl even tried it out.
At breakfast you can just about have what you want, and if it's not on offer just ask I am sure they will find it for you for the next morning.
It felt more like a 5 star b&b not 4 star.
Gold all the way for Pat & Ron in the B&B Olympics (sorry)

My sisters and I 'got away from everyone' and enjoyed 3 nights at Danecourt Lodge. The place is spotless and bedding and towels etc top quality. The breakfast lived up to its reviews and more. The breakfast room looked out onto the lovely garden. The weather was a little unkind to us but did not stop us getting out and about, catching the local bus into town was very easy. Coming back at night we caught cabs who arrived bang on time to collect us from the various restaurants and pubs we were leaving. We took a bus to Swanage which was a lovely ride. Pat gave us lots of information on where to go etc.We managed to leave a few bits behind but they were posted on to us very quickly. Thanks for putting up with 3 silly sisters who seemed to get a fit of the giggles late at night!

Room Tip: The room with the huge bathroom is on the front of the house with no view as such, if you want to lo...

Our sister lives in Poole but can't accommodate us anymore, I found 'Danecourt Lodge' on line and what a find!! Pat offered us two rooms - we opted for the front. In both the bedroom and en-suite bathroom the facilities were superb. High quality towels and a good assortment of gels, shampoos, etc., were found in the bathroom. In the spacious bedroom, as well as a hairdryer there were electric curling tongs and a shoe cleaning kit. There is also a digital radio and television. Breakfasts (including kippers!) were tasty and well cooked by Ron and served by Pat, who had made us so welcome when we first arrived. The location is very convenient. There is an adjacent path which leads down to the main gate of Poole Park through which one can walk to the Dolphin Shopping Cenre and Bus Station. The pedestrianised High Street then runs from this mall to Poole's famous 'Quay'. We returned from our walk by bus as there is a stop at the end of the path. We spent three nights with Pat and Ron and would not hesitate to recommend this comfortable and reasonably priced b & b to anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness and class.

We have just returned from two nights spent with B&B hosts Pat and Ron in Danecourt Lodge while attending a family christening. It was our second visit, although spaced apart many years and the standard, homeliness and hospitality were just as we had expected from our first visit - excellent.
We spent two very comfortable nights in an immmaculate, beautifully decorated bedroom. The fitted wardrobe provided good hanging space and also housed a free view television. Tea and coffee facilities were also provided with good quality china and the tray of tea and biscuits offered by Pat when we arrived was very welcomeThe very large on suite bathroom was superbly fitted and provided good quality toilettries and flully, soft towels. (Definitely of boutique hotel status)
Breakfast each day was just as delightful and the menu is varied and caters for all tastes. What a treat to also look out of the dining room onto a superbly tended garden visited by many different types of birds! Nothing was too much trouble for either Pat or Ron and we felt as if we were leaving friends when it was time to return home to South Wales.
With our daughter living very close to Danecourt Lodgei with our grandsons, we don't get to treat ourselves to this kind of hospitality very often but hope it won't be as long next time.
Thank you again Pat and Ron.

We recently spent a week at Danecourt Lodge. This is the second time we have stayed, and once again we were treated magnificently. Both The owners are fantastic and just can't do enough to make ones stay enjoyable. The rooms, breakfast and facilities are top rate. We look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: We love the double room at the rear, quiet and with a great view of the garden.

A warm welcome from Pat and a lovely clean, well furnished room. Disappointed no decaffeinated drink option provided in the room. I do think this should be available as standard and not require a request which was accommodated on our last night. Lovely, tasty breakfast each day only let down by margarine instead of butter being provided. Also jacuzzi bath did not work on the first evening. Shame our tea tray had been removed from our room on the last day whilst we were at breakfast thus making us feel we should be on our way.
I would suggest Danecourt is a good place to visit. Had these minor irritants not been experienced we would have marked 5*

We had a wonderful two nights at Danecourt Lodge. The room was clean and bright with plenty of wardrobe space. The room also had the largest ensuite bathroom (with separate bath and shower) we have ever had in a B&B. The property was within easy driving distance of Poole town centre (or, like us, you can walk through the nearby Poole Park to the quay and Old Town, which is about 3 miles away). The B&B was very clean with a lovely garden, which the guests can use. There was also sufficient off-road parking for us. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful (the fruit salad to start was delicious). Pat was informative and helpful - giving us some great ideas of local places to visit such as the deserted village of Tyneham. There was also plenty of places to eat/drink within 10 minutes walk from the B&B.
