“Fantastic evening”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We spent the afternoon and early evening exploring Poole Harbour and its Islands on a cracking little boat which was maintained to very high standards. The Staff on arrival could not have been more informative and helpful, everything was explained in great detail and made us all feel that we were in safe hands.
What a great day out! so much to see and explore, sipping Champagne and exploring the nooks around Brownsea Island, on returning I even received a box of chocolates for fathers day!
We are looking forward to another trip very soon! if you are looking for a great experience in Poole then look no further.

“What better way to spend a Sunday?”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Been to Poole Boat Hire several times now and it must be one of the best attractions in Poole, if you are in the area do not miss it! On our latest adventure we took a picnic and headed off into the sunshine. We dropped anchor between Brownsea and Furzey Islands, where the sea is as clear as glass (warms up quickly there too as it's not that deep). After lunch we headed off to the South of the harbour heading around the back of Green Island, enjoying the incredible scenery.
The customer service was fantastic, you really get the feeling that they couldn't do enough for you, and the prices are very reasonable considering the experience you are getting, cheaper than taking the family for a meal and i know what i'll remember for longer!

We picnicked at Shipstal Point, drank chilled Rosé while the girls dived from the boat and swam. Super evening, great boats, will do it again. Thank you Esther at Poole Boat Hire.

“Absolutely brilliant - the owner was so helpful and the boating was really good fun”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I recently organised a hen party in Bournemouth and, as one of the activities, decided to rent a couple of self drive boats from Poole Boat Hire (formerly called Purple Pelican) and do a treasure hunt along the route to a nearby pub where we were going to stop for lunch. The treasure hunt was arranged for us by Poole Boat Hire to fit in with our needs on the day and it was fantastically well organised and really good fun.

Unfortunately, in the run up to the weekend the weather forecast got progressively worse and so a few last minute "tweaks" to the schedule were necessary to prevent all twelve of us ladies getting caught in a downpour! Esther, the owner of Poole Boat Hire, was absolutely instrumental in making the whole day work. She completely understood the need to be flexible and - even though the plan was almost changing by the minute at one point - she remained calm, relentlessly cheerful and unbelievably helpful throughout the entire day.

In the end, Esther offered to drive the boats up to meet us at the pub so we could do the treasure hunt in reverse and even helped out by driving a few of us back to pick up the cars! She then finished the treasure hunt with a little prize for both teams and a treat for the bride-to-be which was a really nice touch and made the day even more special.

All in all this was a fantastic (and very reasonably priced when split between all of us) way to spend a few hours and the service we received was second to none. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for something to do in the local area... but don't forget to pack waterproofs if it looks a little choppy!
