Visited with family and considering it was the first week of the school holidays it was not as busy as expected, even on a warm sunny day.
There is a small car park which was full by 10am and has 2 disabled bays and good value charges compared to many in the area.
There is free on street parking in Branksea Avenue and there is an entrance to the park at the end of this road and is only a short walk and also has wheelchair friendly access.
Hamworthy Park is funded and run by a community group and they do a fantastic job!!
Large play areas and a paddling pool keeps children entertained in safety.
The beach is busiest along the area of beach huts and we found walking a little further along the promenade towards Poole was much quieter and pretty much had it to ourselves.
A very good cafe offers snacks as well as meals and hot and cold drinks and the all important ice creams!
I use a mobility scooter to get around and had no problem at all during our day long visit.
There are toilets and also disabled toilets needing a radar key to access.
Plenty of shells on the beach to collect too!
A great day out was enjoyed by the whole family.
