I ordered lunch at this cafe and asked if they could microwave a pot of homemade baby food. The first person I spoke to said that the cafe did not have microwave but there were bottle warmers to heat baby food. After half an hour of heating and still cold baby food I asked another member of staff who said they did have a microwave but werent allowed to heat baby food for health and safety reasons. I asked to speak to a manager who said the microwave was "industrial strength" (highly unbelievable) and could not be used. With a now fractious baby and still cold food I eventually I asked for my money back. In my experience most places will heat baby food and if they have a policy not to all staff should come up with the same story. Very poor.

Had an excellent afternoon tea, sat outside at the beach cafe. Very clean, good scones with jam and cream. Would recommend.

This is a new cafe right on Sandbanks beach. It is open until late during the summer months and serves great food (I can thoroughly recommend the fish and chips). It is a little pricey, but the fantastic location more than makes up for this. The cafe has views of the beach on one side and poole harbour on the other. There is a terrace right next to the beach. They do breakfasts, lunches and dinners - and fantastic cakes (there's even a gluten free option). There is a children's menu (good fishfinger sandwichs) or children can fill up a little bucket with various cold things). The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My only criticisms are that it can get quite sandy in there, which is OK during the day (and unavoidable), but it would be nice if if was cleaned up for evening diners. Also the wine choice is limited. Other than that I would highly recommend this cafe.

Had breakfast, coffee and tea for two for just over £17. Bacon, sausage were hard and reheated, beans were watery, egg was OK, only thing they couldn't spoil was the slice of toast and butter. The waiter said "enjoy" as he dropped it off but I believe he missed out the word "Don't".
I was very disappointed to be sat in a location which has a reputation to be one of the prime locations in the world and eat a plate of cardboard. I normally go to the cafe's in Mudeford or Avon Beach and their food is superb and value for money. I would expect this standard in Tesco's where at least they know what its worth.

Good food and drinks after a brisk walk along the beach. Selection of muffins, cakes etc. is excellent, but they do "proper" food too :-)
