We stayed a night and had an evening meal here. I'm sorry we did. Uncomfortable bed in a very standard room with a bathroom that reminded us of care homes. Thin curtains which didn't keep out the street light AND the spotlit sign for the hotel. We told the lady on reception we would need to check out at 7.15. No, breakfast was not possible - not even the offer of a tray. Come on, even premier inn can manage this sort of thing (and more cheaply). Staff in the bar were pleasant, but both our meals were typical English pub fare - boring, fatty and overpriced.

Room Tip: Don't get the one with the sign outside. Check your curtains before accepting a room.

My wife and I spent a weekend at the hotel on a KGB deal. The setting of the hotel is very good, overlooking the valley of the Tweed. There are plenty of car parking spaces, free of charge. The welcome by the staff was excellent. Booking in was very quick. Our room was on the front of the hotel overlooking the valley, with a large bay window, (room 12). It had all the amenities one could wish for. The dining area was separate from the bar area, but within easy reach. The menu was quite extensive, with a good choice to suite most palates The quality of the food was excellent, and the price not excessive. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This is a hotel we would be very happy to return to.

Room Tip: Room 12 is on the south overlooking the valley. Good views.

I have stayed here now twice on business and both have been equally as good.

Food is very nice and the bedrooms are spacious and have comfy beds.

All the staff were very attentive and nice, nothing was to much and nothing was ever complicated or an issue.

Will be returning, great stay!

Visited this afternoon with a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea with bubbly. Lovely hotel in picturesque location. Served by a delightful waitress who had great customer service skills. The food was plentiful & delicious. Finger sandwiches - cheese ones to die for - scones, fruit cake & scrummy caramel slices. A lovely treat & highly recommended

Nice place to stay. Staff are helpful. Restaurant food is very good.

When you look at value for money against a typical Premier Inn or Travelodge there is no comparison.

Will definitely stay again..

Forgot to mention the views and easy parking.
