I had a room booked here on Saturday 3rd December, when we got there it was in darkness with a note saying it was closed due to unforeseen circumstances and to ring a mobile number. I did and got no reply. They didn't even have the manners to let us know they were closed nor issue an apology since. They took both home and mobile number when I booked. How rude.
This hotel was ideal for staying a few nights. It was within easy walking distance from Darlington train station, nearly next door to the Civic Centre Theatre and very close to the main shopping area. Breakfast served from 7:30am. Check out is at 11am.
Its not a 5 star hotel, but it had a TV, cosy bed and ensuite bathroom with hot shower, and it wasn't an electric one but still a nice shower all the same.
It was at a cost of £30 per night, which I thought was quite reasonable.
It is right next door to a church.
