“Undercooked chips & wet undercooked batter :(”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

Been going to the kingfisher for years , we travel from Blackpool to get great In fact the best fish and chips going , on the last vist on the 16 th July me and my hubby orderd regular fish and chips , looking forward to our dinner , on a arrival at the table I couldn't beleave what came very under cooked chips the batter on the fish was wet inside not its usaual golden crispy batter also the fish looked grey and poor quality , I called the waitress over and I told her her , fair enough the waitress was lovely and she said that they would make a fresh batch . When they came the batter looked a little better but still not the golden crispy but the chips still under cooked . think I will give the king fisher a miss for a while to see if it get s better . Not sure if it's got new owners but it's not the king fisher I once known . I don't complain about stuff and I hate complaining but these fish and chips where not good :(

We go here for lunch in the restaurant pretty regularly and its always excellent fish 'n' chips - and for the "old uns", on the pensioners special, damn good value too.

This place serves proper Yorkshire fish & chips. Generous piece of Haddock & lovely crisp chips. All good here.
