This small restaurant in the centre of Taunton is very highly recommended. The size of the place makes reservations essential, but it's worth the wait. The service was attentive and helpful, without being over-bearing or intrusive. The riverside location and ambiance give the restaurant character, and the cooking puts it at the top of the local list. The cheese soufflé was as light and as imaginable, and the turbot cooked to perfection. The delight, however, was the dessert, and that comes from someone who usually avoids dessert on grounds of calorific intake. Both of us saw our desserts as the high point, so don't miss them.
