“Wonderful location, superb hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2012 via mobile

We booked this as we were attending a wedding at St Audries and Catwell House was isdeally situated for this. Because and Ross were so fab, from calling us on our journey to make sure the awful weather and M5 weren't causing us too much trouble, to taking our luggage from the cars in the pouring rain. The room was lovely, a fab four poster bed and spacious bathroom. The guest lounge was well stocked and breakfast was superb. A really lovely stay and would recommend this to anyone!

Stayed a couple of nights just for an escape in the country. Its a family run B&B and Becca & Ross (the hosts) were very welcoming and incredibly helpful from the the beginning. It definitely had that cozy family feel to it.

The room was very impressive and you can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into it. It was a very comfortable stay all round.

The only thing I could say as a draw back is that it seemed that the walls are very thin so you can hear everything that is going on around but it didn't disturb our stay and we had a very pleasant stay. Overall, very warmly run, is how I would describe it and would stay there again and/or recommend it to others.

Stayed for a couple of nights as ideally located for a wedding at St. Audries Park. Great hosts, Ross and Becca made us most welcome and the breakfast was excellent. Comfy room, we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Catwell House as it was conveniently located for my friends wedding at nearby St Audries Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the four poster bedroom was comfortable and very clean and the owners made us feel really welcome the moment we stepped through the door. The full english breakfast was also fantastic. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommended!

Had to travel down to Williton for my brother's funeral and I am grateful to Ross and Rebecca for being so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was lovely and the breakfast outstanding, it really set me up for a gruelling day ahead. Will definitely be back under happier circumstances.

2nd visit and this place is perfect! Character and charm and a real homely feel, the rooms are lovely you really do feel like you are staying in a relaxed but grand house! We love booking here as the beds are so large and comfortable we always sleep so well! Ross and Rebecca accommodated us with 3 large dogs (well behaved and house trained!). We bought beds and towels for the dogs and they passed out fairly swiftly after the long car journey. There was a lot of snoring in our room during the night! It was a superb start to our weeks holiday we then had on Exmoor, we had a fantastic breakfast which my husband and I always give 10/10 for, which set us up for a long wet day ahead (it poured down!) We love breakfast time and the entertaining stories that Ross tells us! We pop the dogs in the car while we are having breakfast. The B&B is ideal for the dogs as set down a quiet track (quite large pot holes so be careful but this bit always makes us laugh, it's now part of the holiday!!) with open fields, perfect for walking the dogs before we set off on the next bit of the journey. Ross and Rebecca are perfect hosts, showing you where everything is then leaving you to peace and quiet. Definitely a lovely, peaceful, country B&B with fabulous breakfasts and very, very comfortable large beds and a lovely lounge to relax in!

Room Tip: Lovely large beds that are comfortable! My husband is 6ft 4 and I am 6ft so we love a big bed with n...

It's not often that all Tripadvisor's reviews agree about a place but in this case they are right to do so. The welcome is superb, the rooms spotless, comfortable and of a good size.
Best tip? Have breakfast an hour before you leave so you can go and lie down afterwards!
I cannot fault anything.
Pub in the village good if you don't want to drive but not anything special.
