“Excellent venue for cricket”

Good food and drink but perhaps a little pricey ( captive audience). The stewards were very helpful and friendly. Taunton is always a nice venue to watch cricket as the ground is close to a number of good watering holes and restaurants. There must have been close on 150 Lancashire supporters up for the 4day game, a valuable addition to the local economy.

Saw Somerset v Lancashire. County Match. Great Watching Venue. Drank St Austell Tribute Beer. Plus Lovely Cornish Pastie. Before Match went in 12 TH Man. Food & Drink Venue. Next to Ground. Drank Thatchers Gold. Outside with Great Views of the River.

My wife and I like cricket. We like to go to a match. We go to the 20/20 once a year. The crowd is in fine fettle. We have had decent weather. The stands are okay. The new stand has fine seating but a very odd and disjointed way of entrance/exit. Good luck if you are in Siberian portion of stands. Make sure you get an aisle seat near entrance/exit and not directly in front, because people will pass in front of you. There is a fine display of heroes of somerset cricket.

But. Your concessions run out of food fifteen minutes into the game? At the changeover there aren't even any crisps left! Awful. That is just despicable service. Beer runs out. You have to have a can of warm. Despicable. No pies. Nothing. What a disgrace.

Good facilities, easy viewing from most locations in the ground.
Seating was well arranged and the event was well marshalled.
