“Nice, but only for avid cricket fans”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Went for one day of Warwickshire vs. Somerset. A very small ground and off-ground parking was needed. No way of paying by card at the turnstile (which would be expected at Old Trafford, Oval etc)

A lot of temporary stands which were a bit of an eye sore, the family stand was - a little annoyingly - taken up by older people (presumably there to avoid alochol), which did leave some families struggling to find seats together.

The ground itself is quite old and the toilets need a revamp, as well as some of the buildings etc

It's not bad at all if you are an avid cricket fan as you're close to the action but not great for families as there is not much to do

“Sort out the seating!!”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Travelled here for the first time for the cricket. Great access to. CAr park nor problem. Direct into the ground staff very quick with security. Only problem I found the seats were not comfy at all. A little dated in comparison to other grounds around the country. Lots of eating outlets. We had a great day here. We would certainly come here again.

“Day out at the cricket”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Friendly staff, good facilities. The sun shone and we had a great day out. Local pubs provided good food and real ales. The ground is just a short walk from the train station.

“Excellent venue for cricket”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Good food and drink but perhaps a little pricey ( captive audience). The stewards were very helpful and friendly. Taunton is always a nice venue to watch cricket as the ground is close to a number of good watering holes and restaurants. There must have been close on 150 Lancashire supporters up for the 4day game, a valuable addition to the local economy.
