“What a little gem !”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Beautiful little tea rooms, service very good and host very friendly. Made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. Food was lovely but would say slightly over priced for the lunch. David, the host, allowed me to tweek my meal & replaced salad for vegetables, nice one thank you! Chocolate roulade was yummy !! Will be going back to try the afternoon tea :-)

“Gorgeous cream tea”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

The scones were exquisite - the setting delightful with 1920s music playing softly in the background. The sandwiches were lovely spongy bread and the peppermint tea was loose leaves in a teapot not tea-bags. When I rang to say that my companion was veggie, they made every effort to accommodate her. Highly recommended

“Fantastic - highly recommended”

This is a wonderful place - I wish I lived a little nearer! The delicious food and warm welcome more than made up for a very long journey.Thank you Dave, the late lunch was gorgeous and the extra carrot cake to take away sustained me the following day on my training course. I look forward to another visit.

Just had a fantastic birthday meal for 23 people and everyone was raving about how brilliant the food, service, and the location was.
Not only was the food 1st class the whole evening was excellent value, people are already promising to book for other occasions. Thank you Dave Diane Ben John and Clare. I doubt you would get all round excellence any where else
Thank you and see you again soon

“A great discovery”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

After a walk on the Quantock Hills, the pub we went to was rather busy and a bit late for lunch. My friend suggested a tea room in Bishops Lydeard which sounded worth going to. Located in the village centre, it was just what a tea room should be! Friendly staff, stylish décor, mouth watering cakes and great lunch menu. All home-made, the soup was delicious served with two bread rolls in the shape of mini loaves. A pot of tea is made with tea leaves and presented in bone china. Once you have been here, you'll want to go back!
