We spent one night here following an uncomfortable journey from Manchester, on the hottest day of the year.... With broken air con in the car! We were a bit shiny when we arrived but were instantly made to feel so welcome and shown into the beautiful cool farmhouse. Our room was gorgeous, comfortable and well equipped. Tea and cake in the garden watched by three curious horses followed by a meal in a recommended local pub. A great nights sleep and a fabulous breakfast rounded off a perfect stay. We wi definitely return to this lovely place. An absolute gem.

This lovely farmhouse is idyllic and makes the perfect B&B! It felt like a home away from home, we were able to relax and unwind after having a long and fairly stressful day. We booked the snug and it was bliss, to have our very own living room with log fire and rural scenes surrounding us, but still have the luxury of modern day living (sky TV and Wi-Fi), we felt very spoilt. David and Louise were very helpful and always had a smile, they booked us a table at the local pub (that was also very good!) and even printed off directions on how to get there. The breakfast was amazing, as was the excellent tea and cake on arrival. The hardest part of our trip was leaving this absolutely stunning place. We could not find a single fault with it and we will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: The Snug was perfect for us as a young couple, but I am sure any room here would be excellent.

There's very little to add to what's already been said about this amazing place. It really is the perfect English farmhouse B&B, a traditional building updated to offer every comfort and run impeccably by Louise and David. Everything about it is just right: the welcome and hospitality; the rooms (we stayed in the beautiful Willow Room but made full use of the wonderful lounge with its log burner, books and TV); and, of course, the food! The tea and home made cakes on arrival are just lovely and the breakfast is superb and includes home-made bread. We really hope that we can visit again for a longer than one night stay in future. Thanks, Louise and David!

This is the nicest place I have ever stayed! The welcome - we parked and we met by the door by David, very friendly, showed us to The Snug and brought us tea and the most amazing home made cake ever!! He booked us a table at The Bird in the Hand pub 5 miles away and printed us off a map. Couldn't have been more helpful! The room was amazing, the pictures don't do it justice! The log fire was lovely and the lounge to The Snug was huge! My first impression was how comfy the cushions were! It was pure comfort! Upstairs was a massive bedroom, the comfiest bed in the world and a lovely little bathroom with a huge bath!! Out of every window was green and horses. It was perfect. The only disappointment was that we only stayed for 1 night. Definitely need to stay for more than 1 night to really appreciate the area and the peace a quiet. Almost forgot, breakfast! Lots of homemade yummy bread and jams and full english which was all fantastic. I can't think of any more good words to describe this amazing B&B! Will definitely recommend and return in the future!

Room Tip: We chose the snug which was more for couples, it was the perfect getaway!

We booked a one night stay following the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor, and we were not disappointed. Right from the outset, Louise and David were in communication with us and we felt confident that our 7 month old would be catered for (something i stress about constantly when going away).
When we arrived David was on hand to introduce himself and check we had a good journey. He showed us round and to our room and asked if we would like a drink. He even carried our very heavy bag up to the room for us, and then went downstairs and prepared tea and cake for us in the lounge, right next to a very cosy log burner. He also made sure our little one was sorted with a warm bottle and advised us on places to eat etc.
We went out for a meal to The Rose and Crown in Stoke St Gregory, which was lovely.
The room was very cosy, with a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We stated the night before that we would be ready for breakfast at 0830, but came down at 0800 as our daughter decided she was hungry! The table was set out for us and the highchair positioned at the end of the table. David came through and gave us our tea and coffee and we had a nice chat whilst we sorted out feeding our baby. Then breakfast came - delicious!
It was the first time i had sat at a large table with other guests for brekfast, we are usually on seperate tables, but the atmosphere was very relaxed (i felt so comfortable i put my slippers on) and the other guests were very chatty - i think this is mainly due to the comfortable and warm hospitality of the hosts. David was in and checking we were ok, chatting and joking with us and the other guests, whilst Louise cooked our delicious full English.
We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay, it is in glorious settings and we used it as a stop off on our way down to Cornwall. Not too far off the M5 and fairly easy to find.

Room Tip: Garden Room is a good size for a travel cot and lovely views.

Our 2nd visit was as good as our 1st. Louise and David are wonderful hosts, from the welcome cup of tea and cake to the superb breakfast - we stayed in the Willow Room once again - really cosy and warm. The location is superb - really really quiet location, overlooking fields.

Had a meal at the Nags Head in Thornfalcon http://www.nagsheadtavern.co.uk/ with friends - really good meal - would recommend it.
