“Lovely food cooked to perfection”
Reviewed 10 August 2012

I was taken to Ciao Amore for my birthday mealand it is a lovely small restaurant. The menu was extensive with lots of seafood and vegetarian dishes. They also had an extra 3 mains and 3 starters or so on the specials board. I went for calamari and my boyfriend had fried mozerella for starters, both of which were wonderful (a rarity with calamari, usually it's overdone). I then went for the seabass, which was served with mediterranean vegetables - again beautifully done. The service was excellent and the meal reasonable, especially as I had had the most expensive thing on the menu!
Will definitely be going back at the next available opportunity.

“Best Italian Chef”
Reviewed 31 July 2012

We had an excellent dinner at Cioa Amore with a good portion of free garlic bread. Would definitely recommend the Tiramisu. It was a nice evening out with good Italian food. We will be back.

“Trying hard”
Reviewed 31 July 2012

Now called Ciao Amore this little spot is in a corner of town where you would not expect to find anything much more than fast food takeaways and all that entails.
Food here is half decent, robust sauces and big favours as one would expect and on our evening visit we went simple, mussels, penne, spaghetti and house wine.A little too heavy handed on the amount of sauce - good pasta can speak for itself but with extra bread to mop up and reasonably priced vina rosso who cares.
The staff are very keen to please, gentle and polite if not truly Italian and could not help but think they were trying a bit too hard. Not sure if they have really have the right product for the area[ location,location...... and all that] may consider taking the table clothes off ,going a bit more "rustica", turning up the Sicilian music - neighbourhood cafe in style father than finesse and fancy. They are after all charging family prices not fancy ones. All in all worth a go.

“Fab Family Birthday”
Reviewed 30 July 2012

Had a really nice meal on Saturday evening with the family at Ciao Amore. Great food (good sized portions), extensive and reasonably priced wine list, although we just went for 'house red' and a great atmosphere.

“Highly recommended not only for Connoisseurs of Italian cuisine”
Reviewed 29 July 2012

The group of six of us went to Ciao Amore on last weekend in July and were glad to take on the journey from Bristol to try the taste of an Italian cuisine served by multitalented staff in Ciao Amore in Taunton.

Not only was the food superb, house wine which we ordered, were surprisingly smooth and pleasant. However the biggest compliment needs to be addressed to the waiter who not only had served us but later on picked up a guitar and sang romantic Italian songs going from table to table. This was an experience which truly enhanced our senses, perfectly accompanying a meal.

We would certainly recommend Ciao Amore for anyone looking for an authentic Italian cuisine whilst in Taunton.
