“Great place to stay and explore Somerset”
Reviewed 1 February 2016 for a stay in August 2015

Very handy for M5 and Taunton but also accessible to rest of Somerset despite remote setting.
Some noise from the nearby main road at peak times but not overly intrusive. Good for quiet walks by the canal and chilling on the decking in the summer evenings overlooking extensive gardens. Elevated position provides some great views of the surrounding countryside. Very hospitable and friendly hosts. Very modern and clean. Just be aware that there is a very steep drive accessed from a country lane with an electric gate to negotiate but wouldn't put me off recommending.

Thank you very much for your lovely and accurate comments about the Woodcroft. I would just like to say to any prospective guests, that once you have arrived, there is a key fob which will remotely open the electric gates from the comfort of your car. We hope this consideration makes arriving and departing the property as easy as possible. Having the electric gates does provide a safe environment especially for children.

“Clean, well equipped. Great place to stay!”
Reviewed 1 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We spent a week here as our son was at a cricket festival in Taunton. It was a great place for us to base ourselves. My elderly parents joined us for some of the week and it was easy for my disabled mum to get around the chalet. We also took our dog with us, who felt very at home. She really enjoyed her first swim in the canal!! Everything was spotless and well equipped. It had everything we needed. Matthew was very helpful when we had an issue with a door. He came round promptly and sorted it straight away. Very impressed with the place and are hoping that if our son plays there next year, we will be coming back!! The cake on arrival was a nice touch too....it didn't last long!! Thanks for a lovely week!

“Welcoming and immaculate”
Reviewed 13 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

After a long journey through France it was lovely to come to an immaculately clean, fresh and bright holiday home. Fresh milk, tea, coffee and a beautifully light sponge cake was awaiting us and was mist welcome. We came to visit family and friends and it was the perfect base. Our dog settled very quickly and we enjoyed lots of canal walks even though the weather wasn't brilliant. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely use again.

“Perfect base to see Somerset”
Reviewed 30 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

What a little gem we discovered in Somerset, the Woodcroft met all our expectations plus much more.Katie and Matthew definitely went the extre mile during our stay, the tea, coffee, milk and sugar was really appreciated as was the delicious sponge, also the pencils and colouring book that was provided for our 9 year old daughter was really thoughtful and appreciated by Kasey ( she says to thank you ).The chalet was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The Woodcroft is ideally situated to explore the south-west being quite central you don't have to travel for to long to reach many places of interest

“Lovely accommodation and a fantastic break”
Reviewed 23 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We could not fault the accommodation - everything was perfect. We came with our little boy who is 18 months old,he loved it and it was brilliant to have a real cot for him. No stairs to worry about it was a very toddler friendly place to stay. The cottage is immaculate and had everything we needed. Lovely and quiet, and nice gardens to explore. We came down for a short break for a wedding in Taunton - but will be back for a longer holiday at some point. The is so much to do in the area - lots of child friendly places within easy reach.
Thank you for a lovely base for our break.

“Lovely cottage in good location”
Reviewed 3 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Stayed here as a means to attend a conference in Taunton. It is in a very rural location yet only 15 mins or so from Taunton centre. Good quality accomodation, modern and clean. One main sitting, dining and living room, two good bedrooms all situated in large gardens next to owners house. Electric radiators and wifi which was a bit erratic at times. Very close to a canal so lots of walks. Would happily return
