I pride myself on doing extensive research before an overnight stay and as Premier regulars know what standards to expect - well room wise, reception greetings etc were all as they should be. Sadly however what should have been a pleasant weekend away was ruined by our experiences of the Blackbrook Tavern next door. For a venue that claims to be part of a "Great British Cavery" it needs to seriously re-think it's branding. Having booked a table, sat down, ordered starters (two of which first choice unavailable), ordered carvery, only to be told 20 minutes later no more carvery ... at 7.30pm on a Saturday night! Breakfast next morning ok but again not fault free - cooked breakfast arrived before we'd finished our cereal - no offer to take back and bring later - hence somewhat lukewarm when we came to eat it. As I said no quibble about the Premier Inn itself but would use one of the others in the area if visiting again.

We stayed for a Saturday night as we were attending a birthday party at the pub next door.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
The room was a little chilly on arrival but it soon warmed up when we put the heater on.
Everything is basic, as you would expect for the price, but all lovely and clean.
Room was surprisingly quiet given the Inn's proximity to the M5 and the main road.

We stayed for one night at the end of October on a brief visit to the area. It was easy to find. Online booking easy. Friendly welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms. Everything ok.

You know what to expect with Premier Inn, fairly safe.

We didn't eat in the restaurant, but had breakfast there the next morning. We were caught out by the early closing time - 9 am I think it was. We arrived about 9.15 to find the staff having their own breakfast. Fair play - one member of staff was helpful and allowed us in as we only wanted a continental and everything was still in place - even processed a card payment. Well done.

Would stay there again in the future.

When you book a premier in, you know what you are getting!
Clean, comfortable rooms. Good location for stop off on the way to Cornwall.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only thing I would criticise are the hair dryers! Not very powerful.
Fabulous value for money.

This was the easiest Premier Inn to find so far on my trips (unlike the one in Newcastle city centre). Come down the slip road turn left and left again at the pub and there it is, just like the route given. The reception though small was manned by friendly helpful staff, the room was bigger than other premier inn rooms and nice and clean. The pub/bistro a short stroll down a path was very good and the carvery good value. Heater in the room left a bit to be desired and there was no phone and kettle screwed to dressing table (appealed to my sense of humour this is not a rough area). Despite this, very good value and would stay again.

Room Tip: If disabled ask for a ground floor room. No lift.

I was part of a party of 12 staying at this hotel on a Saturday during December 2013.
We booked a couple of months before and paid just £29 per room.
The rooms were clean, and acceptable for a night or two. Our toilet flush worked intermittently (but worked) and there wasn't any soap in the dispenser (we were rushing to a function so didn't bother raising this). Our room was at the back of the hotel and there was no road noise.
Staff were friendly and lunch in the pub next door was acceptable. This hotel is just off the motorway in a convenient position for Taunton town. Overall, a good experience.

The hotel is really to easy to find, and in a handy location just off M5 Jct 20. The staff where all very polite and helpful. The room was what you expect with Premier Inn, modern, clean and spaceous (we booked a family room). The restaurant is a short 40 second walk into a beautiful bistro pub. Again the staff were brilliant. On the first night we hadn't booked, despite being busy the staff still found us a table for 15! The quality of the food, both breakfast and dinner was excellent. If I was in the South West again I would stop again.
